The guy is Mike Powell. He's quite well known in the American Hi-Fi community. Think he posts around on Audiogon.

He's a forthright character. I actually find Mike entertaining. But some of his work I find just plain over the top. I can see the snake-oil nonsense on some of his videos.

But as always, each to their own.

I've twice resisted the temptation to post on this, but now I will.

He comes across as somebody unable to construct a clear coherent sentence, he mumbles, and pauses in order to try to get a few words together, seems to belch, and gives the impression of being on some kind of anti anxiety medication affecting his performance.

He is opinionated, vacuous in content, but thinks he is providing some kind of revelatory insight by stating what is fairly widely and well known.

But You Tube encourages everyone, after all that Blairite 'we all have a valid opinion' political correctness, which ignores the fact that some people study and develop real expertise, but are relatively modest about it, and the web is full of egotistical twats talking banalities.
