This arrived yesterday, My obsession with early 1970's Japanese Gear.

Its absolutely Filthy with Dust & Nicotine but is actually in Excellent condition. Cost me a whole £27.00 :eyebrows: What makes it a bargain is its comes with the rare optional extra 'DC-44' Dust cover which believe it or not does not have a single scratch on it just a few paint speckles & ofc the cover has protected the fascia.

Belt kit is ordered. Should have this up & running in showroom condition before you know it. I plan on using this a lot so i might make a list of Electrolytic caps id like to just swap out when i service it, just for longevity..

Will look yummy by the side of my Akai 'CR-81D' 8 track machine. :D

Sorry about the cack picture

Not seen a cassette deck for about thirty years. Looks in good nick.

Those machines were very nice. Does it have the glass head, they were very long wearing.

Used to have the GXC-40D.

Cleaned it & tried it this afternoon. Seems to have a noisy right channel with no VU movement. I know what it is, the 2SC458'LG' Transistors. Ordered some..
