I'm never happy - I need rain. My scarified lawn is now looking sorry for itself and all we have is clear blue skies and the Sun beating down. Just one day of torrential rain will cheer me and the garden, up..:carrot:

You have a hosepipe ban??

Yeah! The air quality is certainly better, as is the much lower levels of ambient noise - are you getting that, too?:)

Marco.

Very noticeable around here (Shotley peninsula Suffolk) - another lovely sunny start to the day, and on my walk with dog this morning the air felt so clean and fresh.
It is normally very good around here evidenced by the amount and variety of lichens on the trees in my garden, but this feels special.

Also spent half an hour yesterday evening just listening to birdsong. Bloody awful times in some respects, but if we get through this perhaps people will see the benefits to not rushing about in cars so much?

Unfortunately, it is a big lawn. I do stand there every evening, soaking the bare patches in the hope of keeping the grass going.

Agreed, on all respects, especially the latter. Too many folks these days take the things that matter most in life for granted! Plus, there's too much 'existing' going on, rather than actually living, so hopefully WHEN we get through this (not 'if', as I believe in time we will), those in question will have used the lockdown period to re-evaluate their priorities in life...

A bit cloudy, although the sun's threatening to come out, but nice and mild here at 17C. Just enjoying a late breakfast with Del out in the backyard:

Marco

After breakfast, we're going for a nice walk down to the local park, where we'll try and keep our distance from all the dafties... Then I want to cut the grass, as it's due to rain here tomorrow and I don't want it growing like buggery!

After that, in for a shower, put some choons on, which I'll stream out into the garden, then prepare the cocktails before lunch! 'Madam' has ordered some Margaritas, from the bar, so I'll do my best to deliver them:D

This lockdown malarkey really ain't that bad...

Marco.

Why is your orange juice doing a bungee jump, is it for charity?

Marco
26-04-2020, 11:06
Lol - good one!:D

It's peach juice actually [although I know it's difficult to tell], and just happens to be pictured alongside some elasticated straps, which hold the parasol in position, stopping it from 'taking off' when it gets windy - and not just because of my botty:eyebrows:

Lovely bright sunny 20 today.

Not long finished watching our streamed Sunday service, which was good.

Gonna go for a nice stroll, then out in the garden, on the patio with Mrs n girls, Sunday dinner and tunes on da Gong High Tower :D

Nice one, Rob. Very similar day to us, including the streamed church service!:)

All this moaning about being "bored" eh, when folks don't know they're living?;)

Anyway, enjoy your day, mate!

Yeah, you wouldn't want your 'greenhouse gases' getting caught under your parasol - and if it happens DO NOT try to hold it down yourself! You'll just end up having a nice aerial view of Wrexham, with everyone pointing up at you and saying "Ooh, Mary Poppins has let herself go a bit" :)

True Marco. We're not saying it's ideal or easy for everyone at all BUT, there are many who actually feel like they are living a bit as in, getting a bit of ease from the rat race, running about, stressed, merely existing.

Children are seeing more of their parents, the very young ones are being children, the pace of life has slowed down to a more natural pace for many.

Again and I repeat, I'm not saying this is some kind of ideal, course not, people are isolated, domestic violence will potentially be a bigger issue for some and we pray against all of that, NHS front-line staff are in the thick of it and weary but we salute them.

We also hope and pray that more good will come out of this.

Communities have come together to help the more vulnerable.

Some people are questioning life in general, faith etc, it's been a bit of a wake up call with regards to how fragile we all actually are in the real scheme of things.

In that regard, many will have decided that there will now be fundamental change in terms of priorities and going forward which has to be a good thing - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+8%3A28&version=KJV

My own hope, is that both men and women, with a heart and love for God and what is right and good, will rise up to positions of influence, at the very heart of decision making processes, to the benefit of all humankind - that's my hope, for the future and out of all of this.

Same here, but with rain, which is very welcome for the garden... It can't always be dry and sunny, folks, if you've got stuff to grow!:ner:;)

So, a couple of days (at least) of this will do nicely:thumbsup:

Rain is LIFE!:)

Quality, Jon. Nice vibe you've got going on there. I often do the same thing, but take my Celestion 15XRs outside (via a long length of speaker cable), and boogie on down:gig:

Quite bright here at the mo, not full on sun but not bad. Forecast is for heavy rain all day though. Highs of 10 degrees. Supposed to get a little warmer next week.
