I really want a listen to the new prototype speakers developed by JPL from a NASA research offshoot. The Photon Wave Modulation Transducers, allegedly the first and only speakers that will work in space. I understand Branson may be involved in financing much of the research. They have zero diaphragm mass and instant transient response, very interesting. This technology could provide a turning point for the whole audio industry!

I emailed NASA for more information on this, and they replied that a press release will be published tomorrow, the 2nd of April. Can't wait!

"In space no-one can hear you scream."Sure can't. And it's been proved in practice too. [emoji23]

Actually, there might be a way of achieving something very similar to this using quantum entanglement, I'll get to work.

Actually scratch that, just occurred to me it's probably easier just to get some Bluetooth IEMs and they'll sound better with a space helmet on anyway :)

I imagine speaker placement being a bit of a pig. I've seen pictures and I thought the rear ports were a bit unnecessary.
