I have sold my 909 to someone on the WAM, he wants to use it with a studio mixer - he is a musician, just wanted to check it would match ok with impedances etc. Into the mixer he puts synths, drum machines etc.

From his messages - Mackie Mixer unbalanced output impedance 120ohms.
Also have a soundcraft mixer unbalanced output impedance 75ohms.
The Quad input impedance is 20k(omega symbol).

Any advice appreciated, don't want him to fry the amp and then claim its not working!

No reason why it won't work. Used to be plenty of QUAD power amps in studios back in the day.

The 909 should be fine, it can drive just about anything and has output protection anyway as I recall.

Thanks people, that sold quick. Now just hope I make the post office before total lockdown...…...

I use a Quad 405 as a PA amplifier, driven from a Yamaha mixer.
Works really well.
