Hi folks
This is my latest system the Bryston power amp and the Densen Beat Pre amp no longer being used.
Have my PC running Roon although bit of a waste now with the Sooloos working again.https://i.postimg.cc/Y9cmsChq/20200327-223038-1.jpg (https://postimg.cc/yJPdJBmw)

Quite happy with it all at the moment mebbe a few little tweaks wire wise. Change Sooloos for a new roon ready streamer at some point. Then again is a system ever finished

My step back into hifi probably 15 year ago or so. Standard laptop running foobar at the time i think, Beresford Caimen dac with offboard power supply, Densen beat 200 pre amp, Exposure mono blocks, Monitor audio gold 50 speakers.Did prefer this room for listening but room im currently in doesnt fit a pool table so decided to move.

Next upgrade saw the introduction of the Meridian Sooloos control 15 with bereford dac hiding behind it, out went the exposure monos and in came the bryston 8b power amp. Suddenly so much more verve and attack.

Eyup broths back wi his amps and brought his speakers with him as well this time :). Love hearing his system has a lot of character and very open just doesnt kick ass enough for me, is lush for a lot of stuff though. My change was the PMC PB1s gorgeous speakers not to bruths liking but suit what i want down to a T. Clear powerful and plenty of detail although bruths may go bit lower in the bass.

So that how i got to where i am had a hugo 2 in between before getting tt2 recently.

Certainly not Humble, some very nice kit there which I am sure sounds great, happy listening. Where's the Vinyl though.:eyebrows:

Cool system,
never seen anyone having a Sooloos before, very cool.

Can't fault Roon, big fan here.

Sorry Adrian no vinyl costs enough as it is. Find it amazing that i can have so much music with roon/tidal all for the sake of £10 a month (student discount) that i would never buy on vinyl if i could get it on vinyl in first place. Especially in these days of self isolation or in my terms lambing :) love the fact i can settle down on sofa with a book and let the music play me random artists ive not heard before.
As for the Sooloos designed by the guys behind roon i believe and shows in its design, it also rips cds very well. Has the equivalent to roon radio in swim which swims your collection for similar. Has integration with tidal and just sounds so much better than computer via usb into dac, but and there is always a but it has limited storage of 500gb so not that much room to fill.I do like the interface on it though.

Lovely system, but you need to tackle the cabling Pete

o/p was clearly having a laugh when he said humble! I was expecting some cheap nothing of a PC system

As for calling it a humble system it plays very humbly and just couldn't think of a better thread title :)
