I drove past the nearest one to me last Sunday at about 10 am , It was heaving , I didnt go in as I was on my way home from work , Ill have a look now on their web site and see if its open , HOLD THE FRONT PAGE !!

I have a rule of thumb in general life, stay away from crowded areas, stay away from people in general. If i get on a bus i always sit as far away from people as possible. Very very rare i get a cold. I dont even go near the wife if i can help it :eyebrows:

The other week I was near to two old ladies talking, not close enough to hear everything but spat my cuppa everywhere when I clearly heard one say she enjoyed a good glory hole.

Other than what we are all thinking what else might a glory hole be, unless she was talking about what we are all thinking, just don't want to picture that old lady on her knees in a cubical somewhere.

the last thing we need is for one of our most prolific and amusing posters to be laid up with Covid, so take extra care Allen :) The "evidence" (if you can call it that) is that masks may give others a degree of protection from you, but not necessarily the other way round.

I for one will be giving them a wide berth just now, which is a shame as I bet there'll be some good bargains to be had ;)

Boot sale was a total waste of time , pathetic :( no records , no hifi , no cameras , no nothing for me , mainly market traders and tool stealers
Came home with a empty bag :(

No extra to pay , The bags are a pair just differnt ages both genuine Sainsburys :D

:lol::D Thanks Steve , If I dissapeer in the next 14 days you will know what happened , I have not touched the valves yet as they came from CHINA CV19 last 4 days on hard surfaces , My surfaces are well hard :eek:

No one would worry if you disappear for a few days, we would just assume you've gone in amongst your speakers and can't find your way out :D As for CV19 - I bet there are a few people in the Coventry area with that unfortunate postcode :(

You did well there Martin. You must have some high class boot sales in Bristol - a pair of Quad 63s!

Sadly I've long since abandoned any hope of finding LPs in decent condition at boot sales. When I did find and buy them, they were invariably classical music records owned by either music students or collectors, both of whom knew how to look after them.

This was down in Somerset, I gave up on Bristol boot sales nearly thirty years ago though in the late eighties they were great, seen a few pairs of cheaper B & Ws and Tannoys, but first time I've seen any Quad speakers, somewhat disappointed there were no nice LPs or CDs with them, before the bad weather and lockdown people were asking silly money for LPs, on Sunday they were mostly £1 and everything I picked up was in genuinely excellent condition, one house clearance guy apparently has several thousand more to bring along, looking forward to that, just hoping the weather isn't too bad this weekend.

The Quads remain unsold at the boot sale this morning it was better weather with a lot more buyers and sellers this week, but less for me to find, I did buy a few records, but this was the highlight, I now have a pair as this is the second one I've found at the same boot sale.

Tandberg made some excellent tape decks in their day. I used a Model 3000 at university, and found it to be somewhat superior to the then ubiquitous Akai 4000.

Went to our local booty at my partner's request. It was mizzling with rain, half the stalls packed up and what were left were 'selling' rubbish. Total waste of time!
