So close to my views (obviously not a fascist then :))- excellent post (and previous about politicians lying being a recent phenomenon )

So are you saying then we should simply assume that all politicians are lying disingenuous bastards, especially if they become PM? Probably so, certainly BJ-boy comes into that category.

God help us then... What happened to getting into politics for the RIGHT REASONS (to do good) and to fight for what is right; the values you believe in and stand for - do such noble traits no longer exist? Is the whole thing simply a seedy quagmire of selfishness and corruption?

No wonder I rarely vote these days.

I thought you did. You voted in the last general election didn't you?

I'm sure most politicians get into it for the right reason, just that some lose their way at some point.

Only to try and keep BJ-boy out, as I knew he'd be a nightmare. So for the first time in my life I voted Labour, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. Or if I had, my vote would've gone to Plaid Cymru. Or SNP, if I still lived in Scotland.

If what you say is true, then BJ has certainly 'lost his way', to put it politely.

I think political lying has always been there and nowadays it's increasingly more difficult to get away with it so to speak as everything is recorded and available for playback at any given moment, politicians have realised that so don't bother trying to worm their way out of it anymore, they simply refuse to take accountability for what they've said or call it "fake news". BJ says whatever he thinks will improve his position regardless of it's truth, unfortunately telling the truth doesn't get you far in politics, people simply don't want to hear how shit it actually is and the establishment want to keep their dirty money making secrets that fuck the working man over on a daily basis out of the public eye for as long as possible.

Nowadays politics is sold to us like advertising on a TV and unfortunately people are buying it.

And on that we wholeheartedly agree! It's one reason why I abhor the extremes of right-wing politics or capitalism.

What you describe needs exposed and eradicated, and the focus turned much more on what's good for the common man, so when this Covid shite is over, and BJ's time is up, we need to boot the Tories out and get things back on more even keel.

It's such a shame that you won't watch 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister' since the answers to all your questions are right there.

I think it's safe to say that no-one has ever gone into politics for 'the right reasons', in fact that's a tautology.

I love that you think Corbyn was a libertarian. Not sure exactly what he was but I would say pretty close to Marxist/Trotskyite which is pretty much diametrically opposed to libertarianism, and is all about controlling the minutiae of people's lives, not only what they are allowed do, but what they are allowed to say and think.

So what does one get into politics for? Simply an ego trip? If I were interested in becoming an MP, that would be my motivation [championing good, honest values], and fighting for human rights, exposing corruption/the shady underhand deeds of the establishment, and protecting the best interests of the common man.

Instead I've chosen to be (or if necessary become) a modern day Citizen Smith! Freedom fighter;)

Well, he's certainly deadly opposed to the proposed 'Covid ID cards', and anti-establishment, much like I believe is his elder son, and one of the reasons why he was the victim of a smear campaign by said establishment during the last election. He's also a pacifist/anti-nuclear guy, both of which I thoroughly approve of.

Thing is in England we don't have a classless society like they do in other countries, in England doors are always open to people who went to the right school and are related to the right people, complete idiots roll out of Eaton straight into a top uni, scrape through a piss pot degree course then land a 6 figure job in a top firm, these people can literally get away with murder, the rest of us can think we can climb this ladder but it will always be closed to us regardless of what we've attained

Yes, it's easy to be an outright cunt, and care not a jot, if you want. That's not the point.

My point is why say/do things that appear to be incompatible with your supposedly true self, which (apparently), in terms of covert fascist BJ-boy, is that of a libertarian? That was certainly the image he portrayed throughout his political life until now.

You only do that if you're a two-faced disingenuous bastard, which of course he is. A genuine person stays true to himself and his core values, and that defo ain't the bigoted covert fascist we're discussing!

Marco [utterly DESPISES, beyond words, disingenuous two-faced bastards, and of course bigoted fascists, covert or otherwise].

Yeah, Tony B. Liar... That cunt's got a lot to answer for. Evil wanker, can't stand him.

The rest we're also in full agreement with. It's all wrong. If I was getting into politics, my goal would be to try and make the world a nicer and fairer place. Achieving it, even in some small way, would be my reward, as I've never been money or power-driven. I'm just not wired that way. Having an obsession with either for me usually indicates a very unhealthy form of insecurity.

For me, genuine happiness and contentment (plus good health) are worth far more than any amount of money. And the only power that would interest me, would be the power to do good and make a genuine difference to the world, by improving the lives of people who need it the most.

Those are the only reasons I'd get into politics for, but it sounds like I'd be banging my head against a brick wall.

Sorry Marco, I can't tell if you are being serious :) (that's the trouble with posts, rather than a chat down the pub).

The only genuine/sincere politician I can think of (in my lifetime) was Michael Foot - very disconcerting for me as I don't consider myself a socialist (I was fairly young at the time, but still remember being disgusted with the press attacks on his dress at the Cenotaph).

Your phrase about "all politicians are lying disingenuous bastards" certainly hits the mark in my view - don't just look at Boris though, I wouldn't trust Corbyn, Spurgeon (just look at the in fighting there ) or, further afield Macron, Van Der Leyden or any of the other lying, self serving egoists.
Very strange, but I appreciated Thatcher (Knew where you were with her) and Michael Foot (sincere) - strange combination

I see Britain should reach the 'herd immunity' threshold tomorrow. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/04/07/exclusive-britain-will-pass-covid-herd-immunity-threshold-monday/ It might be wise to reserve judgement.

Those very rare intersex humans still have the one uretha, so whether it exits via the penis or at the base of an ill-defined scrotum determines whether they need to stand or squat to urinate. However human 'hermaphrodites' are incredibly rare so they are not considered. Of more importance is how to cater for those who have identified their gender as different from their sex at birth.

If you have been following the news it is now self evident why at the start of this you been told to sing happy birthday and that mask did not work

They been making sure that they bought same shares on the cheap and that wife company get the contracts. Who gives a Fuck (can I say Fuck on this forum?) if a few old gits die they make money out of the inheritance tax any way.

I will remember those names that have been camming up and newer again listen to a single word they have to say they are all black listed as far as I am concern

Mandatory prison terms and charges of treason should be just far to much common sense to be ever considered and will never pass as the opposition is just the same so they do not want a precedent if the time for graft came up for them

Next I will write to the director of the movie Official secrets and ask that the sequel be made earlier IMO there is plenty of stuff to do part 2 and 3

Bit of a recap

In October there was a phone black out on the area surrounding the level 4 biological lab near Wuhan that is when it all started. PS You are not meant to know that on level 4 biological labs they make viruses and such and most of all that there is one near you

Instead of stopping flights and so on they just let it ride.

The W.H.O told us that a pandemic did not exist in January
Wow big pat on the back those Chinese dudes can build an hospital in a week in February

Then we were told that masks did not work just sing happy birthday when you wash your hands was on the news
Then 4 million spent on sending out a letter… Who owns that company and who is on the board of directors?
Hey maybe we con make people drink bleach the orange one seems to work best for me
Then Black Life Mathers and big thing that Black peoples are more at risk of covid not because of vitamin D deficiency but because they are deprived.
I have taken a few months for them to catch on and finally tell you that mask do actually work and on and on
Why?

Lol... Yes, but with the key word there being 'mandatory'.

I'm very much a proponent of freedoms and civil liberties, and so the *absolute minimum* of things being made compulsory by law (especially being injected with something against your will) in what is a supposedly free country.

However, I'm *NOT* outwardly anti-vax, when necessary to address viruses or diseases, as long as the process is 100% voluntary - and importantly, you aren't victimised for refusing it.

I caught Covid 19 in January, luckily I was not hospitalised. It's up to the individual of course, but it is a horrible illness and all sensible measures to avoid it should be taken. I can see how so many have died, the onset of breathing difficulties is fast and savage. This is not 'like Flu'!

No, me neither. But I'll admit that my having the vaccine is to a degree a selfish decision - I'm happy with my own company some of the time, but really thrive on interacting with others in person. And I see the vaccine as a way to bring us back to 'normality' a bit sooner. I've never been what you might call 'risk averse', and am prepared vaccine-wise, to risk it for a biscuit :)

I'm expecting my second jab to come along by about mid-May. Bring it on!

Lol - and may it all go well when the time comes. I'm not saying for definite I won't be having one. I just want to see how things pan out over the next year, not just in terms of the virulent effect of Covid, and how much of a danger it will present to us then, but how the world has evolved in totality, post pandemic.

Plus also to monitor the various side-effects (although so far thankfully minimal) of the available vaccines, some of which have been reported, and we understand their full effect, based on a significant percentage of the populous having acted as test subjects over an extended period (or if vaccines become modified or improved), so that if/when I do have one, I can choose the one *I* think is best/safest, which by then may be an option:)

Even with much more mundane things, involving 'new tech', such as TVs, cars or whatever. I never 'jump straight in' until the tech in question had 'matured' [any problems ironed out], and *I* am satisfied it's the right time to 'invest' - and for me the principle is similar with these new vaccines.

Not really a valid analogy, vaccines are not new technology.

It's like your favourite band brings out a new CD. The album is brand new, the technology of the CD is decades old.

A better analogy would be you don't want to buy the new album yet until you've heard it at a mate's house and know it's not crap.

Sure, hence why I placed the key words inside inverted commas, but you get my point. I son't rush into *anything*, receiving vaccines or otherwise, until *I* (no-one else) am as convinced as humanly possible that it's the RIGHT thing to do:)

The fact is, we'll know both rather more about Covid and vaccines in 12 months time than we do now.

Well my thinking was that the odds of something happening that would firmly decide me against having the vaccine was so incredibly unlikely that I might as well not hang on and just have it now and get the benefit right away.

Marco
18-04-2021, 10:43
Well, that's fine, and I respect that. However, I don't base my life around gambling principles (don't practice that mentality), as I'm not a gambler. Instead, I use my common sense and gut instincts, which have always served me well throughout life.

Also, unlike you, I'm not at the stage yet where (for me personally) I'm convinced of the benefit, hence why I'm willing to wait until sufficient time has elapsed, and relevant information accumulated, to allow me to make the MOST educated decision (for ME), in terms of having a vaccine or not.

Yes, of course there is a risk attached to that, but it's one, based on my relatively young age and good health, I've assessed very carefully and am willing to take:)

Lol... The thing is, whilst what Sandro says is an undeniable truism, what could happen with your future largely depends on how much you roll over and accept simply being a 'number' [meekly acquiesce], or how much you're willing to stand up and FIGHT for your freedom and right to be an individual, with a view of FORCING change if necessary.

The fact is, if enough people WANT something to happen (or not), as the case may be, IT WILL HAPPEN (or not), as it is ultimately the people who decide, not the government. I'll NEVER come into the 'meekly acquiesce' category, as that's fundamentally not how I'm wired.

Anyway, I've said this repeatedly throughout the thread, but it's worth repeating again: There is NO point in simply being alive, if you can't LIVE - and only if you are FREE, can you truly LIVE.

Therefore, going forward, I intend on having a life that's worth LIVING, as a FREE man, not simply an existence [under state control or similar] - and we should ALL be striving for the same!

Yes, and in future we may come to realise how true that statement is, which is precisely why now it's so vital to retain your OWN MIND and remain a FREE-THINKER!;)

...and not become anyone's puppet or 'clone'. That's why you should always resist being controlled (led like a sheep), or ruled by the state - and NOT becoming a slave to technology (allowing it to RULE your life) is a big part in being able to achieve that.

Sadly, however for some, it's already too late...

Afternoon all !! I was busy farming ,and hadnt seen your reply Marco :)

I liken vaccination need to our dairy cow situation in a way . I attended college in the late 70's and we were taught about the benefits of cattle /pig vaccines and how they worked , yet my Dad wasnt convinced .
In the last ten years or more we use regular vaccination for diseases such as IBR , for example and you can get away without using vaccination most of the time but naive animals can get seriously ill with IBR (Infectious Bovine Rhinitis )
Its a virus that lives in infected anaimals but only sheds when that animal is under stress . The one thats not seen it can be really ill ,but most times it just like flu type stuff then they recover !

Also other things like Lepto and BVD we quard against. So yearly jabs for the ladies !
So ,have the vaccination please ,but if you prefer to play roulette with your life ,then risk not having it .

As they say ,the risk without it , is much greater than having had it !!;)

Do well ,I must dash !!

Marco

No worries, Anto. I take on board all of that, although I have no experience of farming, but don't doubt that the vaccinations for your cattle, as mentioned, are vital, and I hope they continue to stay healthy and productive:)

So ,have the vaccination please ,but if you prefer to play roulette with your life ,then risk not having it .

Cheers, and you also. As for the bit in bold, there are two ways of looking at that, if you consider the risk as potentially being more the other way round;)

Life is full of risks, and I may not be right, but after much thought, I've come to the decision that I'm confident I can cope with the thread of Covid, being reasonably young, healthy and with having a strong natural immune system, more than I may be able to cope with any adverse effects, particularly in the long term, an untried (on me) vaccine may have on my body.

That said (and indeed as I stated earlier), nothing is written in stone. Therefore, with an appropriate passage of time (based on my judgement criteria) and the revealing of more data, in terms of the medium to long-term effects of these vaccines, and if all seems well, or indeed if their efficacy is further improved, I may change my mind then.

However, for now, thanks for your thoughts and stay safe!

In principle, I agree, but it's the precedent these things could set in other areas, and how much further they could be taken or abused by the state, if given the right excuse. Being very much a 'free spirit' and champion of civil liberties, I baulk at, and indeed feel very uncomfortable whenever I hear the word 'mandatory', in ANY context.

I'm neither naturally predisposed, nor used to, following orders!

Yup, we need to get the Tories OUT!

Marco.
not so sure about that

They are all the same
At present it is a Labour Mayor that has been arrested for Graft so my vote will be to whoever that will hurt that bunch the most.

The only thing that matters is that one go out and do vote and voting for the opposition no matter what that may be is the only way to say: I am not happy whit the service you provided so far.

This is the only way to make politics irrelevant as it should be
The welfare of the population should be a matter of common sense and science.

It is the same principle any one apply when choosing for example a broad band or energy provider
You look for the one that is cheaper or that give's you better service
And once the cheap introductory rate end you tell them that you are going to somebody else because they are cheaper!
Most probably you get a discount

Largely true only Labour has the whole woke thing going on which the Tories don't, and I would never vote for that, or for Socialism.

If it wasn't for that I would go back to not voting at all, which was my position for many years. Where I live we have gone in 20 years from a very safe Labour seat to a marginal, currently with a Tory in place on a tiny majority. So my vote can make a difference now, which it couldn't before.

Even voting for same one wearing a colander on his head is betterer IMO

Found this, I’ve copied a section that I think is relevant.

https://jrnyquist.blog/2019/09/11/the-secret-speech-of-general-chi-haotian/

Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev Foundation, funded by the United States, gathered 500 of the world’s most important statesmen, economic leaders and scientists, including George W. Bush (he was not the U.S. president at the time), the Baroness Thatcher, Tony Blair, Zbigniew Brzezinski, as well as George Soros, Bill Gates, futurist John Naisbitt, etc., all of the world’s most popular characters, in the San Francisco Fairmont hotel for a high-level roundtable conference, discussing problems about globalization and how to guide humanity to move forward into the 21st century. According to what He Xin had in hand, the outstanding people of the world in attendance thought that in the 21st century a mere 20 percent of the world’s population will be sufficient to maintain the world’s economy and prosperity, the other 80 percent or 4/5ths of the world’s population will be human garbage unable to produce new values. The people in attendance thought that this excess 80 percent population would be a trash population and “high-tech” means should be used to eliminate them gradually.

The difference for me is that the labour party isn't led by an anti-Scottish bigot, who really only cares about London, plus I abhor staunchly right-wing capitalist values, which the Tories are all about. That's why I voted Labour at the last election, in a failed attempt to keep BJ-boy out, even though I'm not a staunch socialist either.

If anything, my values lean more towards the Liberals, but have always considered it as a wasted vote, as they're unlikely to get in. Therefore the voting process for me, for the time being, is about trying to keep out the greater of two evils!

Thanks, better now warmer weather is here thanks, hope you and yours are well too?

Been busy fitting 4 oak doors upstairs, 3 done. Fitted new front gate, have new fence to fit. My sports car has questionable readings on two gauges, it’s either sensors or gauges have dash out to fault find.

Oh, I forgot, dislocated small toe which is painful. NHS GP’s won’t even refer me.....due to CV19. Hospitals near me are empty but for them a great excuse.

Hi Marco,

Always wanted a Severnesqu car since watching the Prisoner.

29416

So I built this, bodywork from Westfield but nothing else. Thought their chassis was a bit naff, so designed my own brazing the joints (as using MIG welding tends to make the tube brittle and you have to use thicker tube) so using lightweight tube, my chassis is stiffer, more durable and lighter.

Engine is 2L Zetec, blueprinted by me (each piston and rings took about 4 hours hand fettling) 208bhp @ 7500k, special cams, direct to head (no manifold) fuel injection, Omex processor for injection and timing. The exhaust exits from the bonnet giving straight airflow from each of the 4 throttle bodies.

Front brakes 6 pot callipers each pot different dia, no servo. Golf rears.

MT75 gearbox, LSD.

Corner weights set with me on board, 620kg.

1240 rivets. :)

Gary

Given that the kerb weight of a Mondeo is around 1500kg, you have the rough equivalent of a Zetec Mondeo making well over 500bhp, but with sharper handling and a 0-60mph of approximately :eek::eek:

Yeah, pot holes, our weather, old blokes in trilbys, young blokes in baseball caps, kids who never learned the Green Cross code, iZombies, speed cameras, drivers distracted by their in-car gadgetry. You couldn't safely exploit that kind of performance on British roads - ideally you'd need a track as well as as a fair amount of skill, and balls of steel.

I think if you’ve never ridden a high powered motorcycle or car on today’s roads and tracks with all your dangers listed, and have spent your driving experience in a modern box, it may create an impossibility in the imagination that to safely exploit this performance doesn’t compute.

There are massive risks in driving today for anyone. We all have certain reaction times and threat awareness.

It is great fun, and a thrill.....I love it:)

The same as the dictionary definition 'alert to injustice in society, especially racism'

The thing is, almost everyone knows racism is wrong, sexism is wrong, and no-one likes injustice. Now you might have a few people who don't think racism is wrong or sexism is wrong, but they're not going to change their minds about it because they are harangued by some shrill, middle-class lefty who is so deluded with a sense of their own self importance that they think it is their calling to change the world.

And the rest of us are sick of being lectured about it. It's patronising and annoying.

And injustice, like the poor, will always be with us. The idea that you can somehow use legislation to create a perfect world with no injustice and where everyone is always pleasant to each other is risible. It's a childish fantasy and it does more harm than good. In fact it doesn't do any good at all.

only way to cure that kind of thing, is for it to be educated into people at a young age. people are not born with a colour bar, its given to them via parents, teachers and their peers, who got it from their parents, teachers and peers. you need to break that link, but without the constant harping and the 'all white folk are racists' stuff, which just angers the people who didnt have an issue with it before.
It is a long term thing tho. it wont change quickly. these things, like religion are deeply ingrained in societies and religions, not just people.

and to be clear, black people can be racist too, as can any colour or creed.

That's what I used to love about all my Saabs; the midrange acceleration was incredible, in fact my 9000 CSE 2.3 HPT (which had had some mods, although I've no idea what) would pull so hard that it was possible to induce wheel-spin at 40mph in 3rd with full throttle applied. Laugh a minute that car, and yet a brilliant continental cruiser at all other times.

I don't know about you, but when I wake up every morning my goal is precisely that: to be nice to people, unless given a suitable excuse not to;)

Sure, I get that. However, as Grant said earlier, it's more about EDUCATING than legislating.

To make things better, what we need to do is put steps in place to change/modify our current culture, and EDUCATE people. from the ground roots up, to better (read as nicer, more considerate) human beings and parents, so that we start to BREED more people deserved of that title (a human being), rather than that of an animal (although that would often be an insult to animals) - and then lay down an infrastructure designed, where possible, to promote those types of people to occupy positions of influence in society, instead of the selfish 'greed for gold', power-hungry morons currently occupying those positions!

It's impossible to create a 'perfect world', but it's certainly not impossible to make the one we live in a damn sight better for the majority who live in ti, as opposed to a select few.

We had one until a couple of years ago (93 turbo convertible), as you say, lovely car Fliss and I still miss it (road tax was extortionate though - over £500 per annum, went to BMW 3 series diesel £20 per annum).

I seem to remember Jeremy Clarkson rating SAAB - he said that when GM took over, they recommended a whole load of cost cutting changes to the cars, which SAAB management ignored resulting in final financial collapse :(

But we are animals, we are just a species of ape. Consideration, selflessness, co-operation for the greater good, civilisation in general, these things are the aberration not the norm. We're lucky it is as good as it is, it's been a lot worse in the past.

The problem is these woke people have some sort of Jesus complex where they believe themselves to be perfect and, since that didn't take them much effort, cannot understand why everyone else can't measure up to their standards. They think that other people must be behaving badly deliberately. But it's a fantasy. In reality they are just as selfish, greedy, stupid as the next person. They just don't see it.

Rather than crusading to change the world and telling everyone else how to behave, they'd be better off just concentrating on being good people in their own lives. After all, if everyone just concentrated on improving their own behaviour instead of criticising other people's then we might actually see some progress toward a happier world. But that's not how those types get their kicks.

Saab's...
great as they are, and they are.
Knew a Swedish Gal that was on the design team for the '37.
Anyways.

MACCA SAID:

"Now you might have a few people who don't think racism is wrong or sexism is wrong,

but they're not going to change their minds about it because they are harangued by some shrill, middle-class lefty who is so deluded with a sense of their own self importance that they think it is their calling to change the world.

And the rest of us are sick of being lectured about it. It's patronising and annoying."

So:
Going on the assumption that Racism and Sexism is wrong

The issue is the delivery style of the Messenger for saying it in the wrong way?
(Dont shoot him btw)

Hopefully,
Were all calling out Racism and Sexism every day of our own lives when we see it at work, the shops or wherever?

No! It's the motivation of the messenger that's the problem. Some of the messengers are not doing it for the reasons they say they are. And the rest of them are not doing it for the reasons they think they are.

Added to which everyone who cares already got the message ages ago, and those who don't care didn't read it when they got it and aren't ever going to read it no matter how many times they are sent it.

Essentially, Gaz, no-one likes being preached to, or having a specific set of morals showed down their throats, regardless of how seemingly well-intended.

I know exactly where Martin's coming from, and agree. I see it all too often in the Catholic church, myself being a Catholic (or with other religions): vociferous 'doo-gooders', preaching to all and sundry about 'right and wrong' and hiding behind a facade of decency, whilst their own morals are often in the gutter.

Priests love coming round to our house for dinner, not just because most of them are pissheads:D and also love good food, but because although we're religious, we're not 'holy Joes'!

I'm afraid I have little time for today's 'snowflake generation', many of whom make up the current 'woke set', as genuine racism aside, which is abhorrent in all its forms, they simply seem intent on making a career out of taking offence at the slightest bloody thing:doh:

I'd give some of them a damn good slap. and buy them all t-shirts with 'Grow Some Balls' written on the front!

Hmmm did that once when I was a young man...two arseholes were kicking shit out of a copper on the main street in town...with a crowd of idiots around them watching it happen..I did more than make my self extremely verbal...I run in and kicked one of the arseholes in the face and the other in the balls, as the copper lay dazed and confused on the pavement, bleeding profusely. At that moment a dozen coppers turned up and proceeded to throw ME with the 2 arseholes into the back of a police van...Luckily the copper who was hurt was screaming at the top of his voice..get him out, get him out...but by the time they did...I'd had a good kicking in the back of the van by 2 fucking arseholes....That's what a good deed got me Gaz....

But what does that mean 'call it out?'. Exactly what does that entail? If it means actively preventing an injustice that's happening in your immediate environment I'm fine with that.

Lol... Don't think I've been in a kebab shop for about 30 years. Just not my thang, as a big slab of meat hanging about like that for hours on end, especially with flies hanging around it during the summer, always strikes me as somewhat unhygienic... Plus, it's all a bit fatty and greasy:spew:

Yeah, talk like that will get you a kicking, from the owner as well as the pissed up punters :D Sounds like you went to some pretty rough kebab shops, but then it was 30 years ago. They might be better now, due to tighter food hygiene laws. Still gonna be greasy though.

If I'm not driving, which is rare, and we're at a nice country pub that serves great local real ale, then I can enjoy 3 pints of that, with a meal, over the course of 3 hours or so, whilst chatting with Del and friends, or whatever, but otherwise it's strictly one pint (with a meal).

At home I don't drink much beer, maybe a couple of bottles a week, of some type of foreign pilsner, usually German or Italian, but that's it. I'm more of a wine drinker, again only with a nice meal:)

I rarely, if ever, drink alcohol on its own.

If driving I will limit myself to a half pint, and preferably not drink at all.

When I used to drink with friends on say, a Friday or Saturday night, I would drink 6 pints over a three hour session. I found a drinking rate of a pint per half hour was natural for me.

These days I'm like Marco - more of a wine man. Usually a red with the meal (unless it's fish), and a nicely chilled glass of Chablis or Pouilly Fumé in the garden during summer.

That's not to say I don't enjoy a bottle of ale - I do, and usually have a few bottles bought from the supermarket (and it's a damned-sight cheaper than paying nearly £7 for

There has been a festival whit over 10000 peoples near by
One wonder why they pick Liverpool again to carry out an experiment on how this Virus spread
Probably nothing to do whit the old Iron Lady promise to wipe us off the map or whit a local election camming up in 3 days
I wonders how many nans and gran-pa are going to die in the next 2 3 weeks as a results of it
Do not really give a F about those attending ...

To that professor that was on the news bouncing around I have only one thing to say "Thou shall not cause harm ..."

Nothing to say to the establishment really One just wonder how many flats they can get decorated whit the income from the inheritance tax ?

For the conspiration theorist just ask how many drinks where sold and how many plastic glasses where used more than once on what kind of stuff they sprayed on the change out of the tills

Being posting here I am happy to see live gigs and such but WTF!!! . 10000 and Liverpool ?
