Hello!
I'm having a switcheroo at the moment and, having thought long and hard, have made the decision to put this amazing TT up for sale to free up some funds. It's about 6 years old, in excellent condition and sounds fantastic, even, get this: drawing admiring remarks from the old lady. Imagine that. Anyways, I know a lot of you will already know of it's quality, so I won't go blathering on about it. Here's the list of kit included in the sale:
Restored Lenco PTP 5 turntable
Jelco SA750d tonearm with upgraded Ammonite collar and Van Damme pro-patch ultra pure silver plated OFC RCA tonearm cable
Heavy, dense, veneered dark plinth
Polished aluminium heavy weight platter
Analogue Studio cork platter mat
Oyaide HS-CF carbon fibre headshell (boxed) + spare original Jelco headshell
Audio Technica AT6101 perfect crystal OCC headshell leads (on the Oyaide)
Collection from SE19, London, is encouraged as this is a good 10+ kilos and unwieldy so shipping will be a pain in the backside, but I'm happy to do that at cost price as long as you're aware of the risks.
Cost is always tricky with these things. I saw a little while ago an almost identical TT (with cart) was going for £1950 on MCRU - which was a fair bit overpriced tbh - but looking at current parts prices, I see that that second hand Jelcos without the collar are going for about £500 or so, plus its £100+ just for the carbon fibre headshell, so I reckon £875 is about right, plus whatever the best priced insured shipping might be...
