Hi all,

Just a quick introduction from me:

Been browsing the forum for a while and would finally like to make an active effort.

I've been into audio for as long as I can remember and recently upgraded some of of my system, which now looks like this:

-Rega P6 / Exact / Neo
-Rega Elex-R
-Marantz CD6005
-Harbeth C7ES-3 40th Anniversary / Something Solid XF stands
-Chord / Atlas cables

I also have a bit of an obsession with the formats of yesteryear such as cassette / DAT / Minidisc etc... which is why I still use a couple of Nakamichi decks (RX-202 and 505). Yes, I'm the sad guy who still makes mixtapes to play on his Blaupunkt in his 30 year old car :lol:

How do you like your CD6005? I just purchased one used so the warranty would be over.
I intend to damp the chassis and either change out or bypass the output caps- I also am going to try out running it through the DAC on my PM7000N.

Welcome to AoS Alex,

You are not the only one who made up tapes for girlfriends and to play in the car, :) I still have about 200 tapes I made hiding somewhere in the loft.
