Does anyone know where I can get an 18mm Delrin or acrylic platter to fit a Rega from?
I have bought a 15mm from Fidelity Designs before now but he is out of stock to make one.

Will that improve the performance of a Rega ?

I should have one somewhere, bit tatty but being perspex it'll polish out. I'll have a search if your interested in a 2nd hand one?

Delrin isn't perspex Mark, i think it's what they use in the top of the range Regas and it's mean't to be a fantastic material to make platters out of

A CJ Walker 'CJ55' will have a 18mm Tufnol platter. But theres no inset underside which you really need for a Weegar

Perspex/acrylic is what I've got.
Top Rega's are ceramic, another ball game entirely :-)

Have you looked on the ‘groovetracer’ website? Pretty sure they do them.

Delrin is a brand name, and could carry a price premium. Acetal is the same thing and may be cheaper (according to the website linked above).

Apart from the P1, all Regas use glass or Ceramic with the P10.

Not sure if that was a sarcastic reply, however If you dont an 18mm platter will be way too high & look silly. The original 10mm/13mm platter look ok just sat ontop

So you did.
So why not just fit a 3mm cartridge spacer in the meantime?

A - it's not a straight Rega
B - I really don't care what it looks like.
I'll check the Groovetracer site - good shout
Give Michael lim an email if groovetracer is too pricey. He makes all sorts of Rega upgrades. I had a few in the past . He might be able to help lpturntables@gmail.com

Also contacting Lee at Acoustand https://www.acoustand.co.uk/ . I've seen a Delrin platter that he made for his own turntable design and it is a thing of some beauty. As far as I know, he does bespoke machining work.
