So I’m moving up the SL1200 ladder as it were so my first entry into these wonderful turntables is now up for grabs.
It’s a good example having being bought about 18 months ago from a well respected forum member.
Everything works as it should and I’ve recently installed an Ortofon 510 Mk II cartridge which is really singing. The original Technics Headshell also received a set of new Ortofon wires at the same time.
I can’t tell you the history but I’d guess it has been moved around a bit as there’s marks on the top plate which I’ve tried to show and also the lid has some scratching which I’ve tried to polish out but there’s one or two deeper ones that can be seen in the photos.
There’s also a scratch on the tonearm again which isn’t too bad but just want to be honest.
It’s had new wires / RCA plugs as well but sounds fantastic to my ears and will suit someone like me who was wanting to dip their toe in with SL1200’s.
All bearings are great and it starts and stops on a sixpence.
Really want collection from Conington, Cambridge on this so buyer can see / hear everything before they part with cash but am willing to meet up depending on proximity
As a last resort I will post as have lots of packaging but this must be at buyers cost, responsibility and arrangement.
Looking to move on relatively quickly so a very reasonable £295 is what I’m requesting.
