Justin of this parish asked me if I wanted a duff 211, what sort of question is that?

The 211 is quite a chunky valve so I hatched a plan and said yes. The result is this:

A slightly unusual table lamp, running off a 12V wall wart. Fortunately I had the bits and pieces in the junk box, plus a lot of Led's.

Sourcing the duff vaves might be the tricky part, though you could always ask some of the manufacturers if you could raid their rejects bin the end product could be a bit of free advertising for their brand, so everyone's a winner. The only obstacle is whether Alan could be arsed making a lot of them. I think it looks pretty cool, 'Geek Chic' :)

:lol: Well I can just imagine the look of horror on Del's face when you gift one of Alan's creations to her: "When you said valve I assumed you meant off a bicycle tyre! What am I supposed to do with that?" :D
