This thread coming from myself, may come across as a little strange. For that I do apologise. If I may ask, anyone here of mixed race/heritage/descent etc?
Me - I'm half Irish and half Trinidadian. Most people say I look a little like a pacific islander

Come on then Shane... tell all ..
Ultimately we are all related to one another.
It is estimated that 0.5% of all the humans in the world carry some of the genes belonging to Genghis Khan.
Come on then Shane... tell all ..
You've embarrassed him now, lol... I think I know, in reality, who would be EATING who [alive]!:D

OMG! My family tree is all over the place. We can trace family from across Europe/UK/Ireland/Scotland - Do this qualify me as mixed race? Surely we are all the same (human) race??
I was born in Scotland, but all my family, going back centuries, are Italian. Nothing else 'in the mix', as it were, that I know of!

Well..they reckon it's West African males who are well endowed...but that's not true...It's a mixed race of North American Indians and Italians
Yours Sincerely...Tonto Pavarotti...;)

Only if you are seriously too tightly wrapped and looking for racism, where there is none.

So true...
I don’t really know what I am to be honest. A mongrel for sure. Maternal Grandfather was an Irish Geordie apparently, paternal Grandmother from Burton-upon-Trent. Paternal Grandfather was from Northamptonshire, and apparently Paternal Grandmother Spanish - but I don’t believe first generation. I might do one of those DNA tests one day as it would be interesting to find out the real truth.

Goes without saying, but not sure which nation those traits can be attributed to!

I think you’ll find we all have a hairy past if Darwin has anything to do with it, unless we were placed on this planet as an alien experiment as some sci-fi films would have us believe

I'm equal parts Tatar, Jewish, Polish and Mordovian. But my birth certificate says I'm Russian
Not that it matters, of course. I self-identify with Russian culture but consider myself Tatar because of my Tatar family name.
Obviously depends how far back you want to go but tmk I'm all Scottish. Mainland and Skye

Think I'm pure English... rather boring ...I've checked it out...
What is pure English?
Does this take into account the Norman and Saxon invasions? The Roman occupancy of the U.K. etc.
I think the majority of people are of mixed descent if you look back far enough.
There is an interesting YouTube video with a group of people who have their DNA analysis done, with interesting results.
This is not the best:

Marco.Geneticist Adam Rutherford believes that all humans of European descent are descendants of all Europeans who were alive a thousand years ago. So you will share common ancestry with everyone on this forum who has any European blood.
Sounds crazy I know but he does explain it convincingly in his book.

I was going to say totally English - with not a drop of Scottish blood - to annoy mrs d (who claims 50% Scottish) - but then my uncle mentioned that my great grandmother came from Scotland. Turns out that she might have been Irish though, but reportedly had red hair, so might have been Scottish. So perhaps I'm 1/8 Scottish - or Irish!
