Rob
What is your 103SA like, now that I have bought your 12" Jelco?

Well I originally had a SPU on the Jelco and changed to the SME to give me a bit more adjustement IMO the SME is a nice upgrade from the Jelco ;)

Hi Roger I like the Denon, certainly when combined with the A23 SUT it sings.I prefer it in my system to the SPU but know Marco is now enjoying the SPU immensely.
Maybe I hadn't set it up right :(

Thanks for the +ve comments re the Garrard

Hi,I could never get it sounding right, thought it was originally a geometry problem with the Jelco ie pivot to spindle so I got the SME for the extra adjustement.
Still suffered with some HF distortion on some tracks even with the SME.
The Denon I've had no issues what so ever.
I do prefer the Denon combo over the SPU,getting very close to what I want out of a turntable, just the Ortofon headshell to get now and that'll be it.
That is until I get my SP10 up and running in a similar plinth, just waiting on some regs from Paul Hynes

Dave,

Down boy! What are you like?

Hi Rob,

Glad the 103SA is hitting the spot nicely. You now have my old cartridge and SUT combination, so it's nice to know it's working well in another system! :)

I'm certainly loving the SPU, which is blissfully free of HF distortion... Dunno why! :eyebrows:

Marco.
