Here I have for sale a very substantial piece of granite that was custom made to my dimensions as a turntable platform.

It is black (Nero Assoluto, I think) with bevelled edges. Good condition with some light surface marks, just needs a polish.

Dimensions - 46 x 36 x 3cm and weighs 15kg!

£40 collection only from Highgate, London N6.

I also have a set of four Deflex Superpods that are perfect under the granite - each one can support up to 25kg in weight.
These are well used but function as they should - £20. Just £15 if bought together with the granite.

Thanks!

Yes she’s a beauty, I had always wanted a Source since I was a boy.

I settled on a Kuzma Stogi which is a very fine match. I’m actually having a break from vinyl at the moment and not sure where I’m going with it …

Thanks Julian, I'd have had the granite if I hadn't got nice piece late last year but I can say for anyone thinking about it that that it's at a very good price :)

I wish they were still available (maybe?). I remember hearing the Source / Odyssey(gold) combination with a 'Madrigal' cartridge when they first came out (and I could probably only afford an SP25!), but the sound left something with me that I remember to this day. Absolutely beautiful piece of engineering that sounded amazing....

Sorry Al, didn’t mean to offend! :D

Nobody more surprised than me after 35 years of vinyl evangelism …

Hi Gordon, I first came across Source turntables back in the early 80’s at Manchester’s legendary dealer The Music Room, where they had one permanently on display in the most prominent area.
I knew I had to have one but was going to be a dream for many years …

By chance I have just got some suitably protective packing that could be used to transport this lovely granite, so I can offer UPS delivery for another £12, a total of £52 delivered. This includes £50 of insurance.
