Yes about three weeks ago he's still alive and well and on the scene. He modded a tonearm cable for me to work with my SME v-12

I guess he's pretty busy and that I'll get an update from him, re: my order, at some point, in due course.

Thats really strange. I know he spends part of the year in Greece and part of the year in Wales. I checked before I sent my cable off.

Yeah, very strange for him. Been dealing with him for years and he's always been good at getting back.

I've had him quiet for a time before probably due to once or twice when emails to him didn't get there or went into his Spam box

Last heard from Yannis 23rd December and had no reply to email since.
Tried his website's contact us message form a week or so back, still nothing
I'm not chasing as such as I'm pretty patient with these things, it's more an update I'm after.
He's been putting a bespoke tonearm cable together for me that has to have the ground pin in between the rca plugs at the tonearm end, as is for my EPA-250 tonearm.
The original stock cable is with him also for reference so yeah, would like to know if things are working out, doable etc - his one concern was dimension as the KLEI plugs and the cable are quite big and that's how we left it ie: he'd update.....
Is he ok, has anyone heard from him recently or ever contacted him via a number ?

FWIW, he (or somebody else) just listed/relisted a bunch of stuff on eBay.

Thanks for that Pavel,
I've just messaged him via one of his listings so we'll see what transpires from that.
Thanks again

In the meantime, if you want to hear your new turntable, just use a pair of your favourite RCA cables and steal the center pin out of a cheap RCA plug to use as a ground connector :-)

I had a cable from him end of last year if that helps, very responsive.

Yeah, last heard from him 23 Dec but no responses to email and other messages since.
Had plenty dealings in the past and he and his cables are superb so this is, as I say, odd.
I know he was mad busy so who knows.
I suspect I'll hear from him in due course, there's usually a reason behind everything.

I think you are maybe being ignored bud..
Only he can confirm that. Would be very very odd and make no sense if that were the case.
Like i said, I've had loads of dealings with him, purchased tonearm cables, interconnects etc. He knows me and we've only ever had great comms, with no issues whatsoever - ever.

Hi and to update.
Door bell went this morning. Was Royal mail with a package for yours truly. :)
Opened it and inside was the cable Yannis has put together for me.
It appears he was head down producing the thing rather than responding to update enquiries, in all busyness.
Can only say, I'm well pleased - The cable he's produced looks a work of art, typical first rate - 'A' grade, as I've come to expect from Yannis.
Going by the excellent 423.5 I had previously, I'm expecting that this further improved 423.5 Plus version is gonna be a treat !
Will plumb it in over the weekend - Let the fun begin :carrot:

Cool Robbie, it should be pretty awesome if it improves on your previous cable

Thanks guys, the cable received is a work of art !!
The request for a bespoke version of his 423.5Plus, basically to match the plugs configuration of the stock cable for my Techincs EPA-250 tonearm / its EPA-500 armbase.
I am awaiting a laminated protractor for my arm, from my good friend and tech Don, Angus-Phonomac.
Once that arrives, i'm good to go re: set-up and at long last evaluating the SP-10 with this gorgeous tonearm cable at that critical point between, tonearm and amp.
Unfortunately I wont be able to evaluate the improved 423.5Plus against the 423.5 I had with my heavily modded SL1210 MK5g, but that was a very excellent cable so I know what to expect.
The 423.5Plus's improvements will be subtle, I suspect but non the less, very welcome.
Plugs are Eichmann KLEI Absolute Harmony, I'm a BIG fan of KLEI silver bullet type plugs.
I believe that Yannis has taken shielding and protection from EMI/RFI and such nasties to another level with the Plus, which I'm sure can only be of great benefit, absolutely and especially where tonearm cables, in relation to cartridges are concerned.
The more &R#p kept out, the purer/ more faithful the reproduction ......
Anyway, some pics of Yannis's superb! handy work and next to the stock Technics cable.
Apologies for the poor light. The attention to detail of the 423.5Plus, in the flesh is a delight :)

Looks very smart Robbie. Yannis always turns out a quality product
Indeed, looks great! Given what it's replaced, I suspect that the improvements might be a little more than subtle, Rob... Enjoy!
Marco.
