For sale is my J.E. Sugedn class A headphone amp / pre-amplifier in excellent used condition with minimal marks..mainly on the base..see the high res pics for condition...this is quite a rare item now and only selling as I've gone back to using an integrated..recently purchasing a Cairn Diablo integrated..I'll also be posting up my Quad QSP Elite power amplifier..(I'll include the sales invoice too..it's literally brand new..all but a couple of months)..prefer payment by bank transfer please for this item..but can accept paypal friends and family...The contacts have been cleaned with blue horizon and treated with caig pro gold...the remote control is present..which controls the volume..the original box though a bit tatty...I do not have a manual for this but it's self explanatory..I'll also include the standard kettle type lead...£375.00 please to include fully insured signed for post.

Fantastic little preamps these - I had to spend significant sums to comprehensively outclass it in my system (I now use s Modwright LS100) - the fact that it's also a superb headphone amplifier is a bonus - a classic - GLWS etc

Cheers Macklow..it is indeed..but it's just idle now, so pointless hanging on to...The build quality is superb too..it's built like a tank...like all Sugden gear...

Absolute belter of a preamp and headphone amp, lovely build too. I've heard this loads of times and if I didn't already have 2 headphone amps I'd be all over. I thought you would have asked more than that, genuinely, I think it's worth a lot more. Plus Alan can be trusted 100%. Glws

cheerz Vince...yeah they sell for around the £450.00 price range when they come up for sale...which is rarely...but I bought it at a reasonable price..so keeping it reasonable..I can move a little on that price but not by a lot...Al..

Hi Alan, Headmaster arrived (very well packed). Plugged in and working, must have a lot of gain as I am only about 9’oclock on the dial at that is a lot for my phono stage��

Yes Leo..there is loads of head room with the pre..I was using it with a 140 watt per channel Quad QSP Elite power amp and my volume rarely went above 9 0'clock, however the sound was sweet..I hope you are enjoying your new purchase..Al.

Hi Leo,
I don't know if Alan told you but your amp has got an AMR fuse in. These really let the amp breathe and perform at it's best. Enjoy.

I know this i an old thread, but i was wondering what the difference is between this 'pre-Bijou' and the 'Bijou' proper series. I received the same version as yours as a hand-me-down and plan on selling it too, just want to know all the details about it before i put it up for sale.
