For sale a Goldring G1042 cartridge, virtually unused together with stylus guard. This came to me very recently together with a turntable as an urgent sale and had only been installed new a month earlier. I knew the seller personally and it was quite obvious that the description was absolutely accurate. It looks new and is really an excellent cartridge and tracks flawlessly without any sibilance. The only reason I would like to sell it is that I already have some high end Audio Technica MM cartidges so I would probably never use it. However it is easily as good as the ATs - as it should be at its new price of around £250. I am offering this for £145 including insured delivery. The headshell is not included but I could leave it on if someone wants to send me theirs. Hi Kevin,
By all means have a good think about it. There are plenty of excellent reviews but I expect you have read them. The great thing about it for me is its fantastic tracking without sibilance (a problem with so many cartridges unfortunately). The more expensive AT cartridges are also great in this respect.

P.S. I forgot to say that it would be bank transfer or Paypal F&F only and postage outside UK would obviously be more.

I have read the reviews, but I also have some high end AT MMs, which is why I need to have a think if I need another MM....

I would not expect postage to France to be included, as it is slightly more expensive.

Anyway, if it goes before I make up my mind, then so be it, but it seems like a bit of a bargain.

Fine. It really is a bit of a bargain but things are definitely slow at the moment - understandably after Christmas. Fortunately it is not an urgent sale and I’m not in a hurry.

I have one of these and it took my TT to another level entirely. It made vinyl replay everything I wanted it to be. Bargain. I'd add that whilst I'm sure Alan is a fine fellow, I don't know him ! This is a recommendation from the head and heart ;-).
