For Sale: A unique Lenco L70 with Phonomac Upgraded AT1005 Mk2 Tonearm.

Here's a summary of what's been done (dozens of hours work):

- Chassis and platter resprayed, and label removed to give a cleaner look
- Plinth has additional layers to produce a heavy mass plinth, including a top layer of corrian (substitute)
- On / off swich replaced with Push button on/off and IEC socket
- Motor, Bearing serviced and Audio Silente Metal Idler (£40) wheel added.
- Lenco L70 arm lowering device removed (never could get on with it) and also gives it a cleaner look
- The Audio Technica AT1005 mk2 has been given the full Angus (Phonomac) service and upgrade. This includes rewired, new ceramic hybrid bearings added (higher tollernace than the original AT ones). The tonearm collar has been reduced in height to get correct vta. The headshell and counterweight are non standard (note the counterweight has two o-rings to minimize arm wand contact).

Can be heard and collected from Nottingham NG9 (few minutes from Jn 25, M1).
Will also travel to meet up for a short distance, or maybe visiting Sheffield, Leeds and Northampton in the next few weeks.

Turntable, arm, lid, matt and Lenco strobe disc are included.
There is no cartridge included in the sale (now sold).
Price: £450

Reason for sale: the new 'dream Angus modified (obviously) tonearm’ will not fit an L70!

Few more Photo's to follow later this weekend.
By all means pm me if you have any questions.

Thanks Andre, Agreed. Always been a fan of them, and the Phonomac upgrades takes it to an easy noticeable improvement.

Corrian (equivalent) top layer before wires were cut to length. Shame all that work is hidden from view!
