I've just been for a nice walk with the dog. When we got back I went into the kitchen to wash up,no hot water, the boilers packed up,bugger, I then went into the living room and switched on my novafidelity x40 ,it powered up but wont work,:scratch:the bedroom clock js off so I'm guessing weve had a power cut or surge? So that's a £1400 bit of hifi knacked and a boiler, fxxking brilliant, happy cocking Christmas, Northern Power Grid tell me I'm on low voltage so my stuff will work when the problem is resolved, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! Well the powers back on and and my server is up and running:) had to go through set up wizard again but it seems I panicked for newt:champagne:

That must have been something of a relief James :) The stresses of living in a modern age, eh? We never had problems like this when I was a kid, we just gathered round the piano in our woolly jumpers

Oh we had spoons too, big silver ones :D Which stayed in the parlour, together with the piano and aspidistra. We had Christmas dinner in there, and the spoons came in handy for the consommé. Dad even lit the fire. The rest of the year you only got in there if you were dead or a grieving relative :(

I can understand a newt causing something of a stir, but panic? :)

Spoons, yeah, we had several of the big wooden ones, a couple of them ended up getting broken on my backside as a lad when I had gotten “out of line”. Ugh.
Glad everything is sorted and disaster hopefully avoided! Merry Christmas all!
