Lads! Need a spot of help. I looking for a 90 degree right angled 5-pin tonearm din converter I'm fitting a SME V 12 to my new tonearm board but the tonearm
cable connection is snagging on the underside of the tonearm board. Fitting the cable isn't a problem, it's when I try and raise the height of the whole tone-arm. Things are getting snagged so I need a converter that I can plug into the tonearm cable connector into the SME V then enabling the tonearm cable to sit at 9 degrees and allow the whole tonearm's vertical height to be adjusted. I hope this makes sense. I'll probably get the tonearm cable reterminated after Xmas but I just want something to put me on.

Thanks

Andy

I’m not aware of any converter that will do quite what you are asking for I’m afraid - hopefully I’m wrong though.

Hugo at Ammonite Acoustics will likely know if such a thing exists.

I’ve had a bit of a Google and can’t find anything. However, I guess a short custom adaptor could be made (though it would probably be just as easy, and less costly, to re-terminate the lead you have).

Thanks Mark. I think I came to the same conclusion myself. I just wanted to tide me over until Xmas was over and done with. :(

Not exactly sure what you need but have a look on Audiophonics.fr as there are a couple on there that might be what you’re after.
