I put 12 large chicken quarters on the old grill at 300 F degrees.
Went in and opened a beer and started to make a salaid.
I went out after 10 min. or less and the guage at the top of the lid was at 750F!! with smoke pouring out the sides. With a wet rag I opened the lid in hopes of salvaging some of the chicken. but it was black as coal.
Seems I havent taken the time to clean the catch pan and grease trap in a few weeks of useing the grill 3X a week or more.
The grease ignighted the chicken and all Hell broke loose under the lid.
This is the first time it has ever happened to me and I BBQ alot.
What a sad waste food.
