Not wanting to thread crash Topdogya's topic, I'm posting this...
In the same vein, I want to convert my black stuff to digital.
I would like to know what you guys think is the best software to do this. I would like the best sound, not necessarily the most convenient.. Both would be great though.
I have a decent analogue set up so I was hoping that I could reproduce that quality sound in the recording to digital, is this realistic?
My cartridge is medium output (0.5) MC.
Cheers

Yes it's possible. Vinyl studio pro is best and easiest too. Also non destructive so you can change things again if you don t say, like the noise reduction you've done on it.
I'm now getting good results and not at all labour intensive. It can also do much more but will leave it... It's about £50ish

I'd second the choice of Vinyl Studio. I used the little NADPP4 for 16/48 vinyl transfer. Both were covered on my blog:

if it's of interest
