Laser transport mechanism for Arcam CD82

Hi. I have an Arcam Diva CD82 CD player, which has a damaged transport mechanism, and a failed laser. I have replaced the laser module itself, but can I find the mechanism? Everywhere on line says that the mechanism for the CD82 is the one pictured below:

But in fact the mechanism in my Diva CD82 is this one, which Arcam tells me is the same as fitted to the CD62, but which I cannot find anywhere:

Questions are: 1. why is there this discrepancy, and 2. where can I find the correct mechanism?

The first picture looks like a Chinese made replacement for the laser and its mechanism while the second picture is the original Sony made version including the drawer mech I think. The first is probably a drop in replacement for part of the second but I wouldn't think the quality or lifespan is as good. What you need depends on what's wrong with yours.
