These are the original and famous Hifi Answers design loved by more ambitious speaker builders in the 70s. They are in a very nice white Formica finish and all the drivers are working and in good condition including the (still original) grille material. They are the Kef B139, B110, T27 and the Coles 3001 supertweeter. The inputs at the back are nice internal red and black banana sockets.

The build is the best I have seen of these or similar speakers, and they have been very well looked after. I think they look much more stylish than the Cambridge Audio R50s (with a similar design). I also think they would sound better with some new caps in the crossover but I know that it will take me months to get round to it so I thought I'd offer them here. They were made by the same guy as the unipivot arm I'm also selling, he was a professional engineer and had a great eye for detail and was meticulous in his approach.

I'd like £275 for these please, collected from North London. I think you'd struggle to get all the drivers for that price these days. They are only available to buyers who want to keep them as is or restore them, not sell off the drivers, as I promised his son I'd find them a good home if I didn't keep them. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/ba77e8f94f405ae919ed6c0d1b876c36.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/943518fff6f313243caa0969279647c3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/60111ec50f9b44e5464b17da60f01c7a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/f0c7196d17cd0936ba0861740585c5ca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/89fc0293be70147da93d50e8946be9e4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191031/30f627e050c44e61b713e3d34ee4b8eb.jpg

Thought I'd take the front off one to see how easy it is to get to the crossover and I have to say I'm rather impressed... The crossover seems to be in its own box on the base to isolate it from the line. I don't recall seeing this on the original design paper. Not seen this in any speaker of this period before and shows it's been done over spec as expected.

Also good to see the anti resonance coating on the internal panels and plenty of long haired wool still held in place by a network of strings and not all clumped up by years of air movement.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191101/9ff0589e72b729cb80a63dfb8bcb0d40.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191101/fc3861368d9271cba7e807ce214238cc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191101/6e68bd3435df32d94031e4de9d0e989b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191101/037f9558a645b6ae696aa26a32d787be.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191101/14e0fc1f0d84f3eaa4dbae2e1ce613e1.jpg
