So I was intrigued by this track so downloaded the album (Montage) into Audirvana. Mika Posen was one of the main violinists playing alongside Agnes Obel. She has contributed to a number of artists and plays both violin and viola but the album I downloaded Montage has a lot of electronica loops and ambient soundscapes.
It casts a dreamy soundstage with huge ambient sound and beautifully arranged pieces. Some of the music is haunting and mediative and there are echoes not surprisingly of Agnes Obel.
All I can say is it is 30 minutes of stunningly good music that will get inside your head. Not heard it on vinyl yet but it is on the way:)
Bit I listened to on band amp, if which I'm a member was very decent. Has a hypnotic appeal

What did you think Alex? I have the LP for xmas arrive and have been listening to the download for weeks. I think it is very relaxing hypnotic beautifully composed contemporary music.
Albums on Tidal folks, and very good it is too.
Bit of Sigur Ros thrown in there at points, like it a lot.

So first play of the Merganzer album Montagne and it is stunning on vinyl. Excellent mastering and fabulous recording.:eek:
If there are any left I recommend BUY form Bandcamp comes with free download code too.
And if you like the Merganzer album then check out Heliopause by Ann Muller. Not as good but the title track is a superb.

Yes Ann Muller is a bit avant -garde but Heliopause is very good indeed.

Great when you hear a recommendation that hits the spot.
Funny thing is I’m sat playing it in the car, iPhone/Tidal, in a retail centre car park in Crewe whilst my wife is looking for shoes.
Trying not to look at anyone ‘funny’.
