Very nice where do these fit in with the Electra and Utopia ranges?
Thank you !
These are the ones above Electra (then Sopra, an older range, then Utopia).
The Kanta is a recent development by Focal, unique flax mid/bass units and novel cabinet design.
A room–friendly and luxurious speaker.
Sound to match!
... £3,995 please?!
Really very lovely.

Good luck with the sale Paul.

Less than the standmount, model N1 with 2 units !
OK ~ £3,495 please in these hard times.
Could you clarify dimensions - You say small footprint,I have checked Focal and they give the depth as 477mm(way too much for me I think) - just for scale is the flooring 5" boards or greater-thanks:)

Paul, I'm intrigued by these speakers. How many watts do they need to sing?
I see on Ebay that a French dealer is selling them with a low wattage valve amp as a bundle.
My current Border Patrol 300b SE delivers a massive 9W per channel. Is that sufficient to make these sing?
Also how do they perform at low volume? Domestic circumstance means I often have to listen at conversational sort of volumes.
Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob
I have a much earlier version of these speakers and have used them with a number of different amps including one of those little chip amp things that gives about 5 undistorted watts.
Depends on the music of course but you don't need much more than 1 watt continuous for acceptable levels in a large room. With a Krell 50S which lights up a bias light if power output exceeds 0.75 of a watt I was only lighting the indicator occasionally on peaks.

Macca, thanks for your comments.
Do you think my wife would notice if my light coloured LV OBX R2s turned into a pair sleek black Kanta 2s?[emoji2955]

Stereophile quote the sensitivity as 91db so above average.

If she does I would go with the big bluff - 'What are you talking about? The speakers have always been black!' ;)
