I also have just completed the survey as I did for 6Radio etc. However I do not think these surveys are going to contribute to improving the broadcast quality of FM/DAB which is still my major concern. This survey is aimed at the content of the individual stations and the quality of programming therein.
The BBC has lost the confidence of many of its radio listeners by following political dogma and not delivering quality in both content and broadcasting formats. :brickwall:

This is true but I mentioned it anyway, several times in fact. However as DAB is technically poor and inferior to FM sound quality imho I was more concerned with FM switch off than DAB bit rates.

I think it's quite telling that DAB and FM were lumped together in the part of the survey about how you listen to those radio stations.....

Dont disagree with you Neil. ;) The Beeb are continually avoiding the subject of the FM switch off and the continued debate regarding the inferior quality of both FM and DAB broadcasts. Lumping the two formats together in the survey is just a complete disregard for debate for serious radio listeners.
They are even trying to justifying the switch in that your old FM radio will be recycled for use in education in Africa, plus celebrity overviews by Stephen Fry and Gabby Logan. I cannot help but see a cynical motive in that approach. :eyebrows:

Yes I though the BBC were not allowed to do commercial advetising ;)

Pity we can't get Stephen or Gaby to have a listen to FM Vs DAB under quality controlled circumstances. Do they know they are part of the BBC propaganda lying machine ? Maybe Stephen could be tweeted the truth....
