Beautiful tonearm in perfect working order. This was originally sourced from Definitive Audio, so has silver Kondo internal wiring, and comes with original accessories and packaging. Does not have the original SME Van den Hul external tonearm cable/interconnect.

Ye gods! Don't see these come up; blue moon stuff! Oddly, its eff. mass is only 1g more that the 9" Five, so still a lower medium mass arm. Lovely, and I really cannot understand what could follow it, unless a heavier mass arm is required. Very sensibly priced, too.

Effective mass is a 'medium' 12 grams, so works perfectly with most cartridges. I've used it with Transfiguration and Koetsu cartridges, and it easily 'releases' the very different characteristics of those two brands. In other words, whatever your cartridge is doing, this will show it unfailingly ... neutral, dynamic and musical, with no discernable manipulation of the presentation by the tonearm. I've had quite a few tonearms over the years, including some quite exotic ones, but this is top of the heap imo. As pointed out by Mike (above), these rarely come on the secondhand market, for good reason. Very reluctant sale. Happy to demonstrate, or answer any questions.

One of the best tonearms available, at a lot less than half current retail. The Kondo internal wiring was fitted by SME at the time of manufacture. Excellent condition, all accessories and packaging are present.

I suppose this needs a turntable with a suitable plinth, so maybe a bit of a 'niche' product.
However, in side-by-side comparisons, I find it a worthwhile improvement over the standard 9 inch one.

I am surprised that nobody has snapped this up, they are nearly £6K new and are seriously good arms and work very well on the right turntable, perfect for a TT with a larger plinth.
