B&W 705 S2 vs 805S

Has anyone had a chance to directly compare these two speakers?

I’m looking to upgrade my old 705’s, running against a Naim Nova. I heard the new 705 S2’s demo’d at a dealer and was quite impressed by them, not sure if I’d get more bang for buck on s/h 805S’s tho. Positioning is also a consideration as there’s not not much back wall space to play with perhaps making the front ports on the 805’s more useful.

Any thoughts?

I would be surprised if there were many decent 805s left , i had 804s many years ago and they are getting long in the tooth . would it not be better to get some 805d of which there will be more choice?

Possibly, I was hoping to get something well under 2k.

If you like the 705s2 I would get them , I have heard them with rotel and rather liked them. Plenty of choice and you might even find a s/h pair
