You might want to try a 66, several on eBay if you cannot find a 99. There is this if you have not seen it already https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Quad-99-Vorverstarker-FB-Exzellenter-Zustand/273531408565?hash=item3fafbe10b5:g:KtMAAOSw7GRZDfJ D

Just noticed a couple of 77's on ebay for around £250, one is tested.

Hi Mike, Here's one, though I've no idea if this a keen price or not. Cheers, Ian.

That's lucky, looks good and not too far from you Mike.

£400 seems a bit high. I got one in good condition for £275 about six months ago so that would be a target price IMH. They may have gone up a bit but I wouldn’t pay more than £300. Definitely a pre to go for with MM/MC, a good range of inputs and a good remote.

Ebay prices really are a lottery! I’ve just seen the one for £410 but one went for £306 sometime earlier. BTW the one that went for £510 included the power amp so the pre alone would probably have fetched around £325. Just shows you need patience and luck.

£400 I thought was good if in good condition and no damage, sometime it’s all down to availability and demand. £100 is nothing today, the cost of a good pair of shoes.

I'm only interested around the £200 mark. Thought they were cheap.
