Thinking of upgrading my home recording 'studio'. Apogee Duet keeps coming up as the highly recommended gadget, and I'm wondering if it's worth $500.00? One thing I'd like to experiment with is high resolution format (24-bit/96 KHz) when recording and mixing down. I'm planning to record both 16-bit/44 KHz and 24-bit/96 KHz, mix both recordings down to FLAC, and then play them back through Squeezebox Touch to see if there are any audible differences.
