Thanks Gents , not late as I am just home from work , Then bed then out with daughter for a curry tonight

Have been naughty and purchased another boat :doh: and I tried to downsize my fleet by selling four :rolleyes:
Now back up to 3 again :doh:

Its a 26ft Snapdragon yacht , A ebay win for the sum of , Wait for it £142 :D

Happy birthday Al! Try not to get too excited about Marco's "willy warmer" gift - he bought a pair of woolly gloves off Ebay, cut the fingers off then sent them to ten of his closest buddies. Scottish folk call that "canny", which is just Gaelic for tight git :D

Just incase anyone is intrested the other 2 are , A Maridian 25 yacht and a Hardy fishing 20 powered by a Yamaha 100hp 4 stroke ( 26 knots :eyebrows: )

The London Nautical School in blackfriars. I don't remeber this but in my interview for 1 of the 90 places per year the school took on they asked me what did I want to be when I got older. My parents had told me to say a captain of a ship... I said a snooker player which almost made them burst out laughing including the head. I got into the school as a reserve after another kid dropped out. I enjoyed it there tbh. Went out on the docks at Surrey Quays

my bro was a big yaghtsman. still sails a bit but getting past in now lol.. used to teach it too. i went out with him a few times but i prefer fishing boats

I can't really - parmesan smells like baby sick, and baby sick smells like parmesan. With one small difference: If a baby barfed on my Bolognese I wouldn't eat it. Unless I'd had a skinful. And even then I'd probably choose a Madras.

Lol - to me, Parmesan smells like 'aromatic' socks/mature toe-jam. You should be familiar with that:D

I was rarely in the company of babies until mine came along. I would have been about sixteen when I first had bolognaise (or ragu as you foodies may know it) with parmesan, and even though my ankle biters were still ten years away, I knew immediately that it smelled like baby sick. Maybe I was excessively exposed to the vomit due to me and babies not liking each other very much :(

Yes I would have been about sixteen. Remember, (or perhaps you don't) that in 1974 food culture in Britain wasn't what it is today. Outside of your home choices pretty much came down to Chinese, Indian or chippy (unless your family was "foreign" or you lived in That London).

I didn't have my first decent* pizza until about 1978.

*Them Findus four pack CD size jobbies from the freezer don't count.

And they weren't maternity pants, they were incontinence pants, as modelled by Billy Connolly :)
