Hi all,
Been using MusicBee for about 24 hours and it's currently driving my Allo Boss via Volumio.
I have been using Jriver to do this but found at times things sounded a little etched, especially at 32/96
I found this software by accident and set it up to work in the same way as Jriver did. However I am finding 32/96 sounds far meatier than with Jriver.
Any idea why that would bee? Lol, see what I did there lol
Audirvana sounds different to jriver too. Probably to do with algorithms. Isn't everything [emoji23]
Must confess not tried music bee, certainly for a while if at all. Got a feeling I tried it once and it didn't work well.
There is an American one too but it was similar in getting it to work. Ammara or something like that.
Jriver is all singing but audirvana sounds a bit better.
Ps I edited the title.. It was annoying me lol

Interesting, and its free. I wonder what the catch is? Free often means something hidden or that comes later that requires payment, or ads.
None that Im aware of. Its freeware

I’ve been using it for a few months after becoming completely fed up with iTunes. It’s completely free and so far fantastic. The big test is gonna be the new Fiio dap I’ve got coming. Hopefully I can transfer all my library with no problems. I also agree that MusicBee sounds great

Yes, listened late into the night (low level) and I think it's a bit meatier than Jriver and sounstage appeared to be wider too but I don't t know if that was my imagination.
Gonna do a few A/B tests later.
Looks good. How does it compare to Foobar? I am mostly CD or high res.

Today's listening suggests I'll be sticking with MucisBee IF I can get a bit of gain from somewhere as it's definitely a lower output than Jriver. No big deal, but I'd just like a smidge more.
It will using bubble upnp on an android... Just had it working

I don't use Volumio at all other than to act as an end point for the Laptop.
Laptop does all the work. Upscaling etc.
I think that's how it works anyway lol
