FOR SALE
I have a nice example of an
SME 3009 SERIES 2 NON-IMPROVED with SME Tonearm lead and SME Headshell

I had this running on a Thorens TD124 mk2 and it sounded utterly fantastic.

No original box, but has all its Original counter Weights and anti skate, also has it's brochure.
Apparently it's recently serviced and given a clean bill of health.

The arm is in Great original condition.
The lead has been hard soldered to the arm
so no need for those temperamental SME connectors.

Really is a lovely thing indeed.
I was looking at £400 collected from Barnet. Will post at buyers cost and risk.

Apologies for the poor pictures, which highlights dust and all... it's all I had on the phone.
Ill update with better detailed pictures later. (Pictures now added)

Your photos appear to show two SME headshells: an S2 and an S2R. Are both headshells included with the arm?

Yes you are right, apologies, the first picture was an older pic, i'll have to search for that headshell.
If I locate it it will be included in the sale. No reason to believe i won't find it.
The later pictures (with the headshell without the logo) is what's on the arm atm.

As I said if i can locate it in my utter clutter I will include both.

Thanks for highlighting

Use the imp version of this arm and its very reliable. Looks great too. Ageless design

It really is a cracking performing tonearm. If I didn't already have the SME 3012R it would stay..

I still use mine, and it's 49 years old. All I have had to do is replace the rubber decoupling bush and to replace the nylon thread of the bias weight.

Good luck with the sale Alan.
