Some think it will happen in Dec,21 2012
I just wish we cold go backwards in technology and slow the heck down.
I wish people would stop trying to mass power and wealth and find worth in moveing there country forward and helping there communitys.

We need a common threat to unite us, it seems or we turn on each other.
Mabey every generation needs this to keep us right.

What do you think the future brings?

A sentiment I can very much relate too... In fact not that long ago I was saying to a mate this world need some kind of alien invasion or zombie attack - make people realise what they have and apriciate one another! As for the future ... Apathy, discontent and a lot more bad television is my prediction for the future!
I'm gonna try and avoid it by busying my self with things that make me and my closest happy ... Makes my head hurt trying to worry about much more than that ... I apear to be a product of my time ... Ah well, whats one to do about it eh?? ;)
2012... Fingers crossed I say...

Every generation thinks the world is going to hell in a handcart, usually at around the point when they become 'grown up' and see snotty-nosed kids everywhere who don't have any respect for their elders blah blah blah.

Yep! That article nearly sent me to sleep. I was thinking of visiting the Great Pyramid at Tikal over December 2012, just for fun. Then it occurred to me that just about every New Age hippie would be there as well!

Just the same as when I planned to climb Kilimanjaro on the centenary of the first ascent. In the end I climbed it a week before. And was I glad I did - as I was decending, camera crew after camera crew were ascending to film the occasion.

The only thing that interests me about 2012 is the switch-off of analogue TV. Then, I shall be able receive all the Freeview channels without break up.

Apostasy! I know.

No No No!

What was written (in large friendly letters) on the cover of 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'? You know: Don't Panic!

Let me guess: 'you've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down your left hand side!'

My sympathies are with Marvin, rather than the captain of the Vogon constructor fleet. (The latter did write excruciating bad poetry after all!)
