WTD: Cartridge Keeper Box / Stand

I need to tidy up my resting cartridges!..

Anyone got something they don't use, maybe something unusual / unique ..?

Cheers

One idea is to get your perspex guy to make up an elongated box with a base to easily mount your cartridges.

Something along the following lines. So instead of 3 rows of 2 have 12 rows of 2. Is 24 enough?

Hi Ed
Thanks .. Yes I’m aware of these options.
I’m not overly attracted to these tbh. A bit cheapo

I could get something fabricated out of some nice wood base etc.
but thought I’d check what’s potentially in folks cupboards first..

24 ?! I don’t have that big a problem!!..yet! ;)

Lack of ambition is fatal Adam.

You need to work up to 24!

Interesting quest, Adam. I keep my spare cart's (but rarely more than two or three) in their respective boxes, so I guess you're looking more for a presentation case for all, with easy access. Would that be cart's on headshell, cart's alone or both, I wonder ?

Carts on headshells ready to use and swop over on SME universal arm connection

That’s nice and different indeed.
Shame you moved it on.

I wouldn’t want to keep mine vertically like that, too much of a risk that the top one might be dropped one day - keep ‘em near the ground (i.e. shelf)

Neither unusual nor unique, I use these Fidelity Research cartridge keeper cases:

Not cheap, but IMO the best there is. The only cartridge they cannot house are the EMT XSDs

Yes I've looked at these in the past.
I would really like one of these!

Main reason I sold it ... as space got tight I was more and more nervous. Also it only took 5 headshells.

Hi Adam.

I quite like the 'Headshell Hotel' .... towards the bottom of this page ...

Doesn't indicate how the headshells are secured, but the fact itcan be wall-mounted seems to imply there are proper solid mounting arrangements, not just inserted in flimsy foam?

Hi Peter..
Thanks for that.
That looks nice! I love the name 'Headshell Hotel' :)

It would be good to see the mounting arrangement within the 'Hotel'.

Enjoy the NEBO 10 gathering this weekend. We will await your report!

The Fidelity Research cartridge keeper case does not simply have the cartridges "inserted in flimsy foam". The cartridges (mounted in their headshells) are each mounted in a solid EIA/SME type socket, which can be lifted vertically when storing or removing the cartridge.

Hi Barry
Yes I have my eye on the FR option,
Eye watering expensive as they are.
But a great looking solution
