The man who was probably best known for his portrayal of Roy Batty in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner passed away last week. Apparently Batty's soliloquy was heavily modified by Rutgar Hauer from the original script. In his autobiography, Hauer said he cut the original scripted speech by several lines, adding, "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain". Director Ridley Scott was so impressed he kept it in the script.
