Pi 3 +Boss DAC v1.2+ 2PSU for sale

For sale the excellent Raspberry Pi 3 + Boss DAC v1.2 with Isolator Board v3 and 2 X 5v Linear PSU. The Rpi comes with a Volumio SD card.

This is a superb set up and as good as I have heard from digital audio with great Bass and excellent musical delivery of file based audio. It is clean sounding with a detailed sound but not hyper analytical. I have been more than impressed with what this set up can do even compared with other digital audio systems I have heard 10 X the price!

It comes with all audio cables needed to connect up to the linear PSU and in original packaging.

£230 for the whole package inc delivery.

The truth is although I am amazed at the performance of this set up, especially at pocket money prices I have Vinyl / analogue running through my DNA.

No matter what digital set up I listen too at any price I return back to Vinyl and enjoy it more.

That's fair enough isn't it. Good thing with these rpi dac combos is that they are so easily moved on if you don't take to them.

They are extremely good Paul and I can't fault them. Allo may come up with a better DAC board sometime in the future but the Boss 1.2 is amazing as it stands. As I said it would cost way more to beat this combination especially with the dual linear PSU. The next digital system I heard that approached this SQ was £2000!

Amazing packing and superb value for money, especially with those separate PSU's. I run mine with Roon and i can't see myself upgrading past this for the digital experience.

Do you know the ampage output from the psu's please and is it consistent for combined use of each output or does use of two outputs half the amps in each ?

Also note they have voltage adjustment - do you know for what range ?

MelThe psu's *should* provide 2.5A. Alan (Firebottle) worked that out somehow as I have the same ones that Jim is selling.

As for adjustment, no idea!

I think these have got one 'transformer' per box so using both outputs simultaneously divides the amps between the two but only if used in that specific way.

Seeing as there are two boxes both would be required to avoid insufficient power reaching the rpi in particular (not so much the isolator which has far less draw)

MelI'm using a similar one albeit with one output at 16.3 volts for my Segs dorado supply. There's a small adjustment screw inside the box to adjust the voltage.

Obviously make sure its off at the mains when adjusting.

Both LPSU units are used to power the Pi +Boss. One connected to the Pi and one connected to the Boss board which also powers the Isolator.

The total current output from one socket or both combined is a maximum of 2.5A.
The adjustment will cover up to 6V I guess, but the max current will be reduced.

Using two individual power supplies gives better sound (cleaner) with this setup.
