A lovely thing in excellent condition and perfect working order.
200wpc, remote control. It sounds awesome.

£800 - a real bargain imo, but I'm just passing my own good fortune on. :)

BUT I don't have the original box and packing so I will NOT courier this.
Collection or meetup by arrangement only. I'm in Glos GL17 (near Lydbrook).

I've started thinking about how to safely package the Krell for a courier.
-- e.g. a wooden panel each side and lots of bubble wrap and cardboard.

If I figure out something, Macca gets first refusal.
(The problem is the size, this amp is an 18 inch square. The usual hifi boxes, of which both Martin and I have an abundance, simply aren't big enough.)

Anyone else interested?

Thanks Jerry but I ended up buying Ollies's Krell KSA100 - that was collection only too but he lives much nearer to me than you do!

Having said that if it sits around for a while I might still go for it as the price is crazy low.

OK, no problems, Martin. Pleased to hear you're Krelling again!

Anyone interested? - likely cost of materials and courier will be £50ish I'd imagine.

Still available for collection or meetup, of course!

I might be interested if my Onix DNA 45 order has to be cancelled, it is taking an age to get made, and I am losing patience. Should know this week.

Still available for collection or meetup, of course!Royal Mail Special Delivery is at most £43 for 20kg and box size of no more than 61cm x 46cm x 46cm

If under 10kg then price drops to around £30.

Next day fully insured up to £2500

Might be easier than trying to organise a courier.

Well, maybe.

Sorting out a courier I can manage!
I seem to recall having done that just once or twice in the past.

The main challenge is boxing the dang thing up safely.
Which may well require the purchase of materials, the cost of which I fully intend to pass on to the buyer. :eyebrows:

My Krell has a bent fin! Thanks to FedEx, even in its factory box.

But I had to ship a heavy amp, so I bought the blue styrofoam from the lumber store, and cut layers, with two thicknesses over and under, and about 6”, from the sides. I took a large box, and cut it down to the size I needed. Custom like. Nearly indestructible. It shipped very well and only cost $5 for the 4x8 sheet of foam.

A beautiful piece of kit! At that price I’d buy it if it were US voltage. Good luck with the sale!

My ATC SPA2 was sent to me by Audio Images, in its purpose built ply box with dedicated HD chip foam blocks, but it still was seriously damaged; indented side panel and inner mounts, and dislodged hank bush mounts.

They must have thrown it around even thought it is very heavy.

If you really care about a bit of equipment, it is worth making a dedicated box, which I have done for my SCA2.

You can use any cardboard boxes if big enough, and score them to size with a knife, and when folded, use PVA to solidify the shape. The process can be made better by using a hair dryer which softens/melts the cardboard and allows the glue to permeate. Results are incredibly strong, but of course that is only a 'shell', and inner buffering/padding is required.
