Hi all, I'm parting with my lovely pair of SD Acoustic SD1's. I've had all drivers bar Ribbon tweeter re-foamed (Doh!) earlier this year, but didn't have time to complete install.
Just out of storage, I've had these for the last 4 years. I had the mids and the bass units professionaly re-foamed by, I think, probably the best
speaker repair guy in UK..and he's just retired...so I can't pass out his number!

He is (was) a perfectionist, and had been doing speaker repairs for the last 60 years. It took me 3 months to source OEM foam surrounds for these units, overall cost for speaker repairs is £265.
I've yet to re-assemble the drive units to speaker cabinets, but I thought I'd best offer them as is, in case someone would like to re cable the internals or update the crossovers. So, It's an unfinished project for sale. I can, however, put these together.... it's quite simple and sell them complete ready for audition.

All the side and front panels are present. No badges on these, and the panels have a bit of material that needs sticking down/curling round.. but that's just a bit of maintenance/easy fix. Overall, the cabinets are in excellent condition; the serials show that these speakers are a matched pair. Bearing in mind these were a £1K set of speakers back in 1985-6, they do pucnch well above their weight! Pls see...

composite materials were used for frame contruction, no PCB on crossover!

The link above says it all. They are very efficient speakers, great for low output valve amps. Excelent sound stage, true vocals and eats piano pieces..... And that was before drivers were done! I'm selling these on the bay for £340, but will take £300 from the established AOS massive!

Collection only, (No chance of sending these...)
I'm based near Turnpike lane tube station. North London
