New month, same old shitty weather.. 12c cloudy, with a fairly strong breeze. Crap indeed!!
Lol - complete opposite here, dude. I got up about half an hour ago to blue skies and blazing sunshine! Currently 17C and nice enough to enjoy my cappuccino al fresco:)

around 19c and sunny intervals here - looking at the BBC forecast it will stay low 20s with sunny intervals and no rain but breezy for the next two weeks.

Exactly the same here [PROPER summer's day], and set to be a scorcher! Currently just a shade under 25C, with sold sunshine and blue skies... Ideal, as I'm taking my dad out for lunch to our favourite local Portuguese restaurant, and they have tables outside...
Get this: £8 for a starter, main course, dessert, coffee AND a beer or glass of wine!:eek: And the quality of the food is superb. So looking forward to sinking an ice-cold Sagres, accompanied by some homemade piri-piri chicken!:cool:

The rain has just come on.
The roof is now complete apart from New guttering which is being renewed at the same time as the doors and windows, will post more photos when it’s finished
Good stuff, mate. Glad it seems to have went smoothly. You'll be glad when it's all over:)

28c and barely a wisp of cloud in the sky. POETS Day so first beer of the weekend opened and enjoying some chillout tunes in the garden until the munchkins get home in about an hour demanding pizza. Sadly, we have a very poorly Custard the guinea pig so I suspect I will be conducting a funeral this weekend - reckon it’s going to be tough work gigging a hole in this heat and the solid soil!

Not bad for a back street pub in Brentwood. We only managed 6 (and popped in to Audio T to have a chat with Paul), 2 on the itinerary were closed, 1 for a refurb & 1 because they'd had a drug raid.
Sadly Custard has gone to the great gig in the sky on the vet’s advice. At least it was cooler for me digging the hole than it would have been tomorrow lunchtime! Still a lovely evening out there. Weather looks good for the weekend.

They’re doing ok, playing games to distract them. Part of having pets is learning about mortality. Tamzin made all the decisions and the vet was very good with her, talking her through how it would happen. To be honest, I looked after her more than anyone - so I’m the one who’s saddest! ;)

Scotland is ideal for you then.
Although it isn't much better here in the foothills of the Pennines. Properly warm days are very rare and there's almost always a stiff breeze going. And rain. Or the chance of rain.

Wait until you get older. You'll find the cold feels colder and the heat feels hotter. Then you'll only be happy in April and September!
not what i consider warm, but better than the 11c it was earlier, although wind has picked up. i was always working out so got used to cold, but im getting older now and need a bit more warmth as circulation slows to a crawl :D just slightly too cold up here now. s of england is too warm so somewhere inbetween

I hear Chorley is quite nice this time of year. And North Wales too, but then you have to contend with the mad road signage, and er, Marco. Bombing up and down the road, assaulting your ears with Drake's funny little robot-voice from the Brabster-fi :(

Best fog I ever saw was when I was at University. Living up on a hill in the middle of nowhere on the edge of a forest. Fog so thick you could see it coming in through the gaps in the window frames like smoke. Visibility about 10 feet at best. Never seen anything like it before or since.

Proper fog was great when we were kids, you could hide without hiding. Just don't get fog like that any more.

FFS, get about 3 evenings a year when it is nice enough to sit outside and one of them is “ant day”. Still, can’t complain about the weather, set to get into the 30s later this week.

Our flying ant day is sometime in late August. High up here you see. If the summer is poor it doesn't happen at all. If it does happen I have ants living under my house so I'll come back to hundreds of them in the porch. They all sod off out when I open the door though.

I once heard something on the radio that the rubbish weather we often get at weekends has something to do with pollution from traffic volume during the week.
Geoff, have you not got a shaded side of your house to put the paddling pool? That's what I'd be doing. Until I retire the best I can manage is to plan my day to be on the shaded side of whichever house I'm working on as much as possible.
Not bothered by the heat really. It's still nothing like as warm as some places I've been. And the office has air con and my house was designed by the Edwardians to be as cold as possible. It's still a comfortable 76 degrees F here in my living room and that's after I've had the Krell fan heater pumping out for an hour and a half and no windows open.

Absolutely glorious day, and Suffolk officially the hottest place in the uk at 33.9c. Still 29c according to my thermometer. Not good for getting kids to sleep though, especially on last day of school when they’re already knackered! Records could be broken tomorrow?
Measured 28 Celsius in my living/listening room. Too hot to use the Levinson amps (Class A with a standing dissipation of 800W!), so swapped them out for a pair of Quad 510s.
Still hot and sticky, but that's not going to stop me playing a few tunes.
Two of my laptops and my mobile phone both shut down today due to overheating! Luckily my main listening at the moment is done via a D-class T-amp which seems to be fairing ok!

Not as bad here, got to low 30s. Then at 4pm we got a thunderstorm with big lightning and hailstones(!) They melted quite quickly.

Hoping for that here. Does look quite muggy and still.
Just had a mild thunderstorm but still very muggy. Not complaining though - paid thousands in the past for this sort of weather!

We had one big black cloud come over earlier. There were a couple of big thunder rumbles and a one minute downpour, then the sun carried on blazing!
It's still 35C out there.
Mild thunderstorm turned into the mother of all thunderstorms - only just managed to get the kids asleep. Feeling a little fresher.
Flood warning given out here. Actually got an automated phone call about it from the Environment Agency. Had a walk down to the river to see what it was doing. Flowing quite high and strong, but it's in a deep gully so will have to come up another 20 foot to overtop so I don't think there's any real cause for concern.

Only about 25 deg here today but not very sunny....
We've had 21 hours of continuous rain. It's cool outside but baking in my house. Obviously it's soaked up enough heat over the past week that the Edwardian air conditioning is no longer effective.
Having a hundred watt class A amplifier running isn't helping either. So I'm drinking beer to keep cool.

Temp today low 20s, and that is just right for me. Shame it's been pissistantly raining all day.
Thursday was torture, I was out in it all day, and though I drank gallons of water, I didn't pee all day. Which can't be good. Customer was looking sideways at me a bit, as I never asked to use the loo. He was very clear about where the toilet was and that I should just go without asking, he left the door unlocked for us. I think he suspected we were just using a corner of the garden.

You're living inside what is a basically a giant storage heater.
I thought you would have something cooler to run during the hot weather. One of those little T-amp jobbies would be ideal.

I was worrying a little about my 300b SET amp, and thought I should put my Wazoo amp in its place. But it's gone cooler now so should be ok. But how do people in hot countries go on, are Class A amps a no-no for them?

I remember how my AN 300b amp heated up nicely and was certainly ok when it was cooler, don't think it'd be good though at the mo with the hotter weather... mind you the ML gets warm'ish but not in the same way the 300b did

I don't really know. Whilst I have spent time in numerous hot countries around the world, listening to 'hi fi' was not a major interest or concern at the time. But I have visited Japan which can be both hot and humid, and did visit various hi-fi emporia there. I assume they relied on effective air conditioning in their stores.
My Musical Fidelity AMS 35i certainly warms the room. Gets mad hot even when not playing any music, as it's pure class A and always it's drawing current. Certainly worth it though..... gorgeous sounds.

Still lashing down here, but no thunder/lightning, which will be much to Anita's relief. Thunder scares her shitless, and she thinks there's something wrong with me for liking it.
No car boot sales today, so next week I'll have to double up on my fix of super-cheap CDs I'll probably never play. Mrs. P was away last night visiting a friend, which may explain why I'm listening to Lou Reed's 'White Light/White Heat' rather loudly at 7.30am :)
Still raining here and heavily too. Think it has been going on all night. Might have to go and take another look at the river.

yes your body absorbs as much water as possible so you do`t pee so much. also your poo gets harder as needs water to keep it moist . thats why you need lots of water to reduce constipation and keep dehydrated
