My trusty steed for sale ( Car )

Hi People , Time to move on the most reliable car I have ever owned :(
Owned by me since 21 07 2010 , This can has NEVER gone wrong ,no NEVER
I service it myself and it has from week one been run on 5w / 30 full synthetic engine oil ( been a spanner man for 25 years when I was younger ) I don't trust anyone to service or repair any of my vehicles

It now has just under 100K miles and still drives like new , Past its MOT a week ago so is MOT'd until June 2020
It has only ever failed 1 MOT last year on a worn near side lower ball joint , replaced at a cost of £120 for the lower arm assembly ,
Idel runaround or a car for a junior family member just starting out on a driving life , 60+ MPG :eek:, £30 a year road tax :eek: and group 2 ( I think ) insurance , It has the following


Power steering and city steering , Air com ( Working ) CD / mp3 radio , electric front windows , Remote central locking

Rear wash wipe and heated rear screen , Its 5 door and has been a tardis with the amount of kit I have put in it when attending Scalford Hall and Kegworth hifi shows , Even room for me as well :)
It does have some dents and a scrape all thanks to members of the public in supermarket car parks , Strange that on each occasion the not they left under the wiper blade blew away :rolleyes:

I fitted a tow bar for towing my 10ft tender and a small box trailer for locat tip runs , The wiring was never fitted but can be includer if needed .

I can also sell the trailer for a extra £100 with the car or separately if anyone wants it , It does have the fitted cover but the elastic cord need replacing .

Looks like a handy little thing, unfortunately I don't have a good history with trailers, and after writing off my van while towing one I decided that the trailer life is not for me :(

Yeah you guys make it look so easy, but whenever I towed a trailer I spent more time looking behind than in front, to check it was still there. Mrs. P is so much better, with experience towing caravans, butty vans and chippy vans. And she is also licensed to drive buses/coaches, so she's not intimidated by big things :eyebrows:

A Fiat that has never gone wrong?

At first I didn't believe it but then remembered hearing a story about an employee exchange program between Toyota and Fiat, this one was obviously built when the Japs were there lol

On a serious note my daughter's first car was an old Punto and that didn't give any serious trouble, it was also fun to drive despite being slow.

My old Fiat Punto ran faultlessly for 2 years, right up until it tried to scupper my Hogmanay plans by blowing up its engine just south of Tebay services. But I don't give up that easily - got a tow home, jumped in the van and set off again.

Cost me £700 for a secondhand replacement engine, but got a performance upgrade from 55bhp to 60. So that was nice.

I had a red 56 reg before this one and again it ran faultless , Ended up giving it to my daughter when her nearly new fiesta was stolen :steam:
If 20 years ago you had saie " In 20 years time you will be driving a Fat Panda " I may have laughed so long my socks would have fallen off :D

How times change Fiat are all good in my eyes now :)

I like the way they do the dash in a colour that matches the bodywork (looks like steel but probably is plastic). Anita doesn't get it, but I'd happily have one - there's just something honest and straight looking about them I bet the Abarth versions are a real hoot to drive :)

No , Its easier to have a sprout curry 5 pints of Guinness and some peanuts , then at 3am jump in the front passenger seat but naked and rock back and forth after having a masive sh=t , That way the spripes match ;)
