Hi everyone, I bought an old technics sa-eh760 for a good price and it all seems to be working fine and sounds great. But I have a concern the amp seems warm which is fine but one particular area is red hot, I only noticed it because I picked it up to move it a little and underneath in one corner it was extremely hot. I took the cover off to investigate and found a component that's a pcb with 3 transistors and a heat sink/clamp, what is this? A voltage regulator? And should it get hot? The transistors are d2734 and 2 b1548, they are marked q701 q702 and q711.
Many thanks Ben

Take a few good quality pics (not thumbnails) and post them.

More than likely it is a voltage regulator. How hot? Can you keep your fingers on it, or only for 10 seconds?

Some of the regulator stages can run at 60-70 degrees.
