As per title, i’m looking for the above or at least some advice for some good and sensibly price gear.
I know this is probably the wrong reason to buy such hi-fi, but it absolutely must have VU meters, toggle switches etc and be brushed silver or such like.
Reason being is i just like the look or that era of hi-fi and it brings back memories of my late fathers equipment when i was a child and me marveling at beauty of it, whilst driving him completely crazy with me playing with every button and switch when he was trying to listen and relax to his music.

You could do far, far worse than this, Gary:

Had one of these as my first ever amp and I'd have one now as a second amp if I had the space in my rack. A beast with a golden roar.

Nice...but no VU Meters...

I had a very similar itch I needed to scratch too, Gary, a few years ago (though my Dad never had anything as glamorous!) I ended up with a Sony TA-F4A which to me is one of the best looking of the 70's amps - I particularly like how symmetrical it looks - but it doesn't have any toggle switches! (I didn't pay a massive amount for mine, but the last one on eBay sold for £345!)

I have no idea how this one (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-JA-S22-Stereo-Integrated-Amplifier-Large-VU-Meters-Phono-Tape1-Tape2/133078566267?hash=item1efc19c57b:g:12gAAOSwWntc1E-b) sounds - but ticks the meter/switch boxes...
