One of Anita's ankle biters set it up for me, using Post Image, then showed me how to move the pics from here to here. Actually seems quite straightforward. I think one of the issues before was this laptop's inability to right-click (I know, bad workman and all that), but knowing I can do Ctrl V instead gets me around that.

Downside: if you thought some of my posts were bad, now you can look forward to them being accompanied by some of the most pointless pics guaranteed to sap your last bit of will to live. So sorry about that :)

Hi Ben,

No, the bike is 16 years old, and I've had it for 13 of those years. This pic was taken shortly before I fell off it last September, and due to financial woes during last winter, combined with my reluctance to make an insurance claim means the Blade has been sulking in the garage ever since.

The damage is not severe - apart from a knackered back wheel the damage is really cosmetic, but I estimate a repair cost of about a grand.

Actual damage:

R/h firing lower
crash mushroom (did its job though!)
Brake pedal/rearset
rear indicator
rear wheel

I've got it all taxed and fully comp insured, but it's unlikely to get out this year :(

Absolutely, and as some of them have dimensions that defy belief I will put a twelve inch ruler alongside to give an idea of scale.

One or two of the posts in that closed thread over there made me realise that I really need to get off my arse and do something about this posting pics thing - I would rarely use it to advertise stuff, but I think it would add another dimension to my contributions and may actually make them worth looking at. I know you look at them, but I'm referring to the grown ups :)

Steve , I could not ride a bike like that :eek: , could cope with the speed but not the riding position and where would I put my belly :scratch:

If you fitted a tank bag you could undo the top zip and plop it in there - nice and toasty, especially if there's enough space at the bottom for a hot water bottle :D The riding position is not nearly as extreme as it appears, it is surprisingly roomy. I took a new Fireblade out for a run a few years ago, and it only took a few miles for me to realise I could not live with that. Modern sportsbikes have become more focussed, and have lost some 'flexibility' in the process.

My previous 'Blade took on a European trip with tent, sleeping bag, a pair of underpants and socks no problem, and on the last day I rode from Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxemburg) to Chorley in a day, and that included accidentally going south for 60km because I'm a dozy shite. 666 miles (easy number to remember!) and when I got home I felt like death. But next day right as rain :)
