Some of you will remember me as thrunobulaxx, well he is hovis (brown bread for non cockney b******t`d`s.

20 months ago the person i trusted most in this life decided to do a massive asshole movement upon me, it cost me my home,my workshop and my kit, but not my kids and g/kids, for the last couple of years i have been licking my wounds down that pit you end up in, under my daughters roof 200 miles from what was my life, my eyes are now above ground level again and having recently got some new kit and a new home to move into in a couple of weeks (with a workshop :) ) i feel i have something worthwhile to speak about on a forum such as this, having got involved with vacuum tubes putting out 18wpc rather than the mosfet 200wpc beast i used to own.

Anyway, that is the last i will speak of where i have been for almost 2 years and the person that put me there, suffice it to say that i`m only `pazuzu_now`only for herI;)

I dont know why i bothered with all that grunt now, in the small room i`m currently in, its good enough, coupled to my Klipsch`s i finally settled on after making mistakes in speaker choice that i guess most new tube users will make, the only bit of kit i was able to hang onto was my Beresford DAC (plus a few records), and now it takes an optical out from the new super windows media centre pc my son in law built me, i still play vinyl but having lost the T/T i put together now make do with a project genie mk 3 that i have modded a bit and put a grado supreme red on the arm of, it sounds ok.

Anyway enough blather for now, once i relocate in a couple of weeks i will fill you in on my tube rolling, (KT88 winged C`s rather than chinese copies) (thankfully on a self biasing class A amp) a single ended triode that sounds sweet as a nut and does massive attack and leftfield too;)

All the best to those that remember thruno and that includes the entity formally known as `vinylgrinder`:ner:, how are you Andre, and you Marco ?

Welcome back....

I too know what its like to be shat on from a great height, though in my case it was my last employer...anyway enough of that.............

Anyway like you I am just about getting back to ground level as well, it takes time having your life turned upside down to find a direction again and I am glad to read you have managed to do that as I am now doing too.

Welcome to AOS.

Have fun and enjoy yourself here.

I don't remember you from the past as I am a relative new comer to audio forums though I had been involved in the audio trade since 1989. I consider myself an enthusiast and music lover first and foremost though, never ever having been a box shifter.

Hi & welcome back, I think the time I joined here was just at the tail end of your tenure. I always wondered what happened to the poodle-monster.

Welcome back Pazuzu! Thanks for the intro / update... it's good when old friends come back, especially when they've been in the shit for a while, and come out the other side! What's your real name by the way, if you ever gave it, I can't remember it!

Thanks Marco, and thanks to the others who welcomed me back, not got much time at the mo for posting due to getting ready for a move, Yes i still have most of my music stashed away on external drives (2 off in case of failure) and a 1tB drive in my new pc, and i did hang on to around 600 CD`s and CDR`s, records are harder to cart around so not much left but enough to warrant a T/T, the genie being all i could afford at the time, having said that, with a decent cart on its arm and a lump of granite to sit on it does not sound bad at all.
For the first year i could not listen to anything i had collected over 50`yrs,mainly due to association, tried many times but got in a mess emotionally, thats all over with now and zappa`s had a good airing,Shpongle too, i got their new album and DVD of them at the roundhouse, its stunning.

Packing calls so will be back soon, some might remember this:)

Hi John, our path's have not crossed before, as your time precedes mine on here, but it is good to hear you are dragging yourself out of the sh!t soup that life can be, and enjoying music again. I know what you mean about association - music is so emotional, that if you are truly passionate about it, it cannot be separated from life, and without music there is no life - without life, there is no music. Look forward to meeting you on these pages. Hang in there - moving is crap, whichever way you look at it! ;)
