FS Robert Bastanis drive units & plate amps

Up for sale a set of Robert Bastanis drivers and plate amps to make up a pair of open baffle speakers,these are really very good great sound stage.Most of it is about 10yrs old but i upgraded to the Chrystal wide bands about 2 yrs ago but they where only used for 1yr.Loads on the web about these,although Robert no longer sells kits they are still available at www.club27.com (http://www.club27.com) for around 2,500 euros.I am looking for around £600.00.Collection from Chichester West Sussex.

Picture 1 Chrystal wide band
Picture 2 12inch bass drivers
Picture 3 compression horn gemni tweeters
Picture 4 plate amps
Picture 5 plywood horns for tweeters,these have been painted but i am sure they will clean up.

If they aren't on the web I have them somewhere, I created them for Rob...just in Powerpoint converted to pdf.

Mightily tempting as a project, especially now with the CAD drawings. Any competent chippy should be able to knock up the baffles etc in no time at all. And then it would, I imagine, be quite easy to plug it all together. Just a couple of capacitors and a few other bits to get and you would have a very fine sounding speaker system.

Were it not for the fact I've just got another speaker project on I might have got these. GLWS

The drivers come with Roberts instructions,to be honest you only need worry about the bass bins.But as said they will come with Roberts instructions.

Yes they are very simple and there is very little in the crossover.But it does pay to buy the best resistor and caps you can.
