FAL Speakers

Anyone here heard them? The company is based in Japan, run by an elderly man. Their speakers use some type of flat driver unit.

Why would you pick such an obscure speaker when it'll probably be impossible to take a listen to them and maybe impossible to buy?

I reckon they'd be very expensive too

By the looks of things they start at around £2.5k ... listed on ebay from Japan... and that's for a tiny bookshelf version

I've been interested in them for some years now, more the drivers than the complete speakers but not being able to hear them and relying on people's perception of them has stopped me parting with £1600 for the C60 and over 3k for the C90. Now I have found Lii audio crystal 10 and fast 10 the craving has gone away.

My brother owned a FAL amplifier in the ‘70s.
The company who built it was Futuristic Aids Ltd.

Weren't the old FAL a UK PA equipment company? Unlikely to be related to a high end current Japanese company.

That’s what I thought.

Futuristic Aids Ltd. were based at Henconner Lane in Leeds.
They made a Phase 25 and a Phase 44.
Both were integrated amplifiers.
My brother had the ‘25.

Is this the Japanese Fal or the uk Fal. I know John Bent of Bent audio uses Fal speakers and has for several years so I assume they are good. My worry was that should they not be my thing I would never sell them.

Yes the same Angelsound ran by Keith.
The TT a Red Point was an absolute star. But at a cost, had the Helios Omega arm on it.
